Abstract

Dalam pertumbuhan industri otomotif yang pesat ini, tidak semua kebutuhan komponen kendaraan, khususnya mobil, dapat dipenuhi oleh industri dalam negeri sehingga memaksa tersedianya komponen impor. Hal ini membuka peluang bagi industri dalam negeri untuk ikut memproduksi komponen kendaraan khususnya mobil untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar. Produk Braket Motor Wiper Maruti merupakan salah satu komponen mobil Mitsubishi jenis Pick up and Truck Ankle yang digunakan sebagai wiper jok motor yang masih diimpor hingga saat ini. Proses pembuatan komponen ini melalui beberapa tahapan baik proses pemotongan maupun pembentukan seperti blanking, penusuk-/, embossing-bending dan penusuk-2 dengan menggunakan cetakan tersendiri. Pada tugas akhir ini penulis hanya akan membuat matras untuk embossing-bending. Dengan mengetahui sifat mekanik material dari percobaan, maka gaya-gaya yang bekerja pada proses tersebut dapat dihitung dan dapat pula diambil material yang dipilih dari Punch and Die untuk proses embossing-bending. Kapasitas mesin yang digunakan adalah 70 ton dengan panjang langkah 300 mms. Total kekuatan proses blanJcing adalah 51,5 ton, menusuk-! sebesar 8,9 ton, embo.Ysing-bending sebesar 69,51 ton dan Piercing-2 sebesar 13 ton. Material produk yang digunakan adalah SECC dengan ketebalan 1,2 mm

In this rapid automotive industry growth, not all vehicles component necessity, especially car, can be fulfilled by domestic industry so that it forces the availability of import component. This thing makes an opportunity for domestic industry to follow in producing vehicles component, especially car, to fulfill the market demand Maruti Wiper Motor Bracket Product is one of the pick up and truck ankle types of Mitsubishi car components, used as wiper motor seat that is still imported until nowadays. The process of making this component will through some steps of both cutting and forming processes, such as blanking, piercing-/, embossing-bending and piercing-2 by using individual dies. In this final project, the writer will only make mat for embossing-bending. Finding the material mechanic characteristic from trial, f orces that work in the process can be counted and material chosen from Punch and Die for embossing-bending process can also be taken. The machine capacity used is 70 ton with 300 mms stroke length. The total force of the process for blanJcing is 51,5 ton, piercing-! is 8,9 ton, embO.Ysing-bending is 69,51 ton and Piercing-2 is 13 ton. The product material used is SECC with 1,2 mm thickness.
