Abstract

It is known that the level of effectiveness of the Cold Ribbed Wire Plant machine is still within reasonable limits but far from ideal, this is because the Availability Rate, Performance Efficiency, Rate Quality Product factors of the machine have calculated percentage values that are still on average normal. So it can be concluded that the use of the overall equipment effectiveness method can be used at this Cold Ribbed Wire Plant, and based on the results of the OEE calculation obtained, the OEE value ranges from 34.92% to 73.77%, this condition shows that the ability of the Cold Ribbed Wire Plant to achieve targets and in achieving effectiveness still has not reached the ideal condition of 85%. However, when viewed from January to December, the lowest Overall Effectiveness Equipment (OEE) value is in August, which is 34.92%, one of the causes of the small percentage value in that month is due to the time factor of damage (breakdown) of the Cold Ribbed Wire Plant machine which is greater than other months and ultimately affects production targets. For the calculation of the Six Big Losses, it is known that the biggest influence on the low percentage of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is the Idle And Minor Stoppage factor which has a value of 24.46% - 44.79%, then followed by the Equipment Failure factor which has a value of 8.83% - 29.17%. With the same equation that in August has the highest percentage of 44.79% and 29.17%.
