Abstract

The pile configuration that is generally used is a rectangular configuration, although it does not rule out the possibility that other configurations, such as triangles or pentagons, can produce better efficiency in resisting axial and lateral loads. Efficiency and carrying capacity calculations for rectangular configurations are very easy to complete, but for other forms of configuration, manual calculations are very difficult. In addition, the presence of soil in layers causes a soil reaction that does not linter. Therefore, assistance programs are really needed. In the world of Civil Engineering, especially geotechnical engineering, the Soil and Rock Mechanics calculation program is known, namely Plaxis 3D Foundation. This program is certainly very helpful in the process of calculating settlement, deflection and others on group piles which are very complicated and require a lot of iteration. This final project aims to determine the behavior of group piles, such as settlement, deformation and maximum bending moment due to load. axial and lateral. The behavior can be determined through the results of Plaxis 3D Foundation calculations, with different configurations with variations in axial and lateral loads, driving depth, soil type and pile diameter. Based on the analysis of calculation results using the Plaxis 3D Foundation program, the recommended shape to withstand axial loads is 3xl, 2x2, 5S and 6K with a distance of 4D, while for lateral loads it is 3xl, 4S, 5S and 6K with a distance of 4D. Meanwhile, adding depth has a big influence on settlement; and increasing the distance between poles has a big effect on the deflection
