Abstract

Kapal Ikan Napoleon dilengkapi dengan sistem pendinginan ikan yang berupa Refrigerated Sea Water (RSW) untuk mendinginkan ruang palka ikan. Ikon hasil pendinginan tersebut menjadi ikan segar asin karena air laut yang digunakan sebagai media pendingin tidak tersirkulasi sempurna sehingga terjadi konsentrasi garam yang berlebih yang menyebabkan ikon terlalu banyak menyerap garam dari air laut. Dalam Tugar Akhir ini mengoptimalkan sistem pendinginan RSW dengan menemukan kode dan prosedur pendinginan serta sirkulasi air pendingin untuk menghidari konsentrasi garam yang berlebihan. Dalam pengoptimalan ini digunakan indikator berupa salinitas, temperatur serla pertumbuhan bakteri. Dalam hal ini salinilitas dapat diketahui dengan melakukan perhitungan dengan beberapa variasi temperatur. Sedangkan untuk bakteri dapat diketahui waktu serta temperatur inkubasi. Selain itu dilakukan juga perhitungan terhadap jumlah rate RSW dan waktu sir-kulasi yang dibutuhkan berdasarkan kapasitas bebanpendingin pada ruang palka. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh bahwa waktu sirkulasi RSW adalah setiap 2 jam sekali dengan temperatur diatur antara 2 c ampai O C dimana itu merupakan, waktu dan temperatur yang tepal untuk menghindari konsentrasi garam yang berlebih serta dapat menekan pertumbuhan bakteri

The Napoleon Fishing Ship is equipped with a fish cooling system in the form of Refrigerated Sea Water (RSW) to cool the fish hold space. The cooled icon becomes fresh, salty fish because the sea water used as a cooling medium is not circulated perfectly, resulting in an excessive salt concentration which causes the icon to absorb too much salt from the sea water. In this final project, we optimize the RSW cooling system by finding codes and cooling procedures as well as cooling water circulation to avoid excessive salt concentrations. In this optimization, indicators are used in the form of salinity, temperature and bacterial growth. In this case, salinity can be determined by carrying out calculations with several temperature variations. Meanwhile, for bacteria, the incubation time and temperature can be determined. Apart from that, calculations were also made of the RSW rate and circulation time required based on the cooling load capacity in the hold space. From the calculation results, it is found that the RSW circulation time is once every 2 hours with the temperature set between 2 C to O C, which is the right time and temperature to avoid excessive salt concentration and can suppress bacterial growth
