Abstract
In today's dynamic business environment, organizations face the growing challenge of balancing the exploitation of current resources with the exploration of new ones to maintain consistent success. Recognizing and developing organizational ambidexterity is crucial for enhancing efficiency, flexibility, and competitiveness, making it an essential focus for long-term business success. This research investigates the influence of organizational ambidexterity on business performance, examining how effectively organizations manage the dual objectives of efficiency and innovation by utilising systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis. The methodology uses data collection from the Scopus database, bibliometric analysis utilising a variety of approaches, and content analysis to find emerging trends in order to accomplish this goal. Through methods like bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer, the paper maps out research trends, gaps, and the thematic evolution of the discourse. This study employs a systematic content analysis to investigate the influence of organizational ambidexterity on business performance, related to research method, area study, and sector. The findings suggest a positive correlation between organizational ambidexterity and business performance, emphasizing the need for diverse methodologies to further explore this relationship, especially in specific industries, as this research found that the industrial (manufacturing) sector is the most prevalent. The study concludes with a call for future research to build on the identified gaps, using a combination of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods to gain a more nuanced understanding of the influence of organizational ambidexterity on business performance.
