Abstract

Technological developments in the additive manufacturing (AM) segment are growing rapidly. One of the most notable developments is the concept of interlaced interlocking in multimaterial additive manufacturing. In this study, the joints in additive manufacturing were tested, especially joints with variations in structural depth and interlock orientation on the tensile strength of materials on PLA filaments with statistical analysis using ANOVA. The variations used in this study used interlocking depths of 2, 4, 6, and 8. While for variations in interlocking structure orientation using 45˚ and 90˚. The results of this study show that the highest tensile strength is found in the parameters of interlocking depth 4 and interlocking structure orientation 45˚ where the value is 29.04 MPa while the lowest tensile strength is found in the parameters of interlocking depth 8 and interlocking structure orientation 90˚ with a value of 12.48 MPa. The results of ANOVA analysis show that the most optimal use of parameters using interlocking depth variations 2 and 4 with values of 26.56 and 25.27 and interlocking structure orientation variation 45˚ with a value of 27.34. This proves that there is a significant effect on the variation of interlocking depth and interlocking structure orientation.
