Abstract

Pertumbuhan karir merupakan topik yang sangat penting bagi karyawan di berbagai sektor karena melibatkan pengembangan keterampilan dan kompetensi yang diharapkan oleh organisasi. Proses ini bersifat berkelanjutan dan mengharuskan individu untuk secara aktif mencari peluang untuk belajar dan berkembang demi kemajuan profesional. Karir yang berhasil berkembang tidak hanya menghasilkan karyawan yang lebih kompeten tetapi juga menunjang kesuksesan keseluruhan organisasi. Pertumbuhan karir, sebagai aspirasi yang diinginkan banyak karyawan, dapat didorong oleh lingkungan kerja yang kondusif, akses ke pelatihan yang memadai, dan evaluasi kinerja yang efektif. Karyawan pabrik dan kantor menghadapi lingkungan kerja yang berbeda dan tantangan unik yang mempengaruhi kesempatan mereka untuk berkembang. Penelitian ini hendak mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan karir karyawan dalam kedua setting ini, dengan tujuan untuk menawarkan wawasan yang dapat membantu meningkatkan strategi pengembangan karir di organisasi. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 220 yang dikumpulkan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modelling untuk mengolah data yang telah didapatkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa working environment dan training berpengaruh pada employee performance. Selain itu, training dan employee performance terbukti berpengaruh pada career growth. Namun, diketahui bahwa working environment tidak berpengaruh pada career growth. Penelitian ini mengonfirmasi beberapa penelitian terdahulu terkait career growth.===================================================================================================================== Career growth is a very important topic for employees in various sectors as it involves developing the skills and competencies expected by the organization. This process is continuous and requires individuals to actively seek opportunities to learn and develop for professional advancement. A successfully developed career not only results in more competent employees but also supports the overall success of the organization. Career growth, a desirable aspiration for many employees, can be encouraged by a conducive work environment, access to adequate training and effective performance evaluation. Factory and office employees face different work environments and unique challenges that affect their opportunities for growth. This study sought to identify and analyze the factors that influence employee career growth in these two settings, with the aim of offering insights that can help improve career development strategies in organizations. The sample of this study was 220 which was collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents. This study uses the Structural Equation Modeling method to process the data that has been obtained. The results showed that working environment and training affect employee performance. In addition, training and employee performance are proven to have an effect on career growth. However, it is known that working environment has no effect on career growth. This study confirms several previous studies related to career growth.
