Abstract

Many people have voiced their complaints on social media about frame damage, this problem has become a major concern among the public. The AHM company motorbike frame is the target of public complaints. This is due to the prevalence of broken frames on motorbikes. The frame experience that occurs on eSAF (enhanced Smart Architecture Frame) is a lesson in designing a vehicle, the main part is the frame. With this phenomenon, the Bobber Electric NG 5000 design process needs to be taken into account so that the desired things do not happen, especially to the Bobber Electric NG 5000 frame. This research will refer to analysis in the form of simulations on the Bobber Electric NG 5000 frame using different materials, namely AISI 1020. Starting with data collection by modeling the Bobber Electric NG 5000 chassis. Based on the dimensions and materials of the frame that has been designed by the Nogogeni ITS Team, the analysis will be carried out. This is done in the form of stiffness calculations with the main variable being torsional stiffness, lateral stiffness, and longitudinal stiffness. Calculations of frame strength were also carried out, namely the condition of the Bobber Electric NG 5000 based on static and dynamic loading. This research produce a new frame design for the Bobber Electric NG 5000 that meets Torsional Frame Stiffness = 3 kNm/°, Lateral Frame Stiffness = 2,79 kN/mm, and Longitudinal Frame Stiffness = 6,7 kN/mm. This research base on finite element method.
