Abstract
Sebagai negara berkembang Indonesia saat ini sedang gencar melakukan pembangunan gedung, perumahan dan pabrik. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut saat ini kebutuhan lampu di Indonesia sangatlah besar terutama untuk penerangan umum maupun pribadi. Proses pembuatan lampu salah satunya berada di PT. Panasonic Gobel Life Solutions Manufacturing Indonesia. Jenis lampu yang diproduksi oleh PT. Panasonic Gobel Life Solutions Manufacturing Indonesia diklasifikasikan menjadi 2 yaitu lampu berteknologi semikonduktor dan lampu downlight. Kedua jenis lampu ini memiliki proses produksi yang berbeda. Pada lampu berteknologi semikonduktor prosesnya terdiri dari pemasangan komponen surface mountain device (SMD) dan pemasangan komponen non-surface mountain device (Non-SMD). Sedangkan untuk lampu downlight terdiri dari pemotongan plat aluminium dengan mesin CNC, pembentukan kap reflektor downlight dengan mesin spinning, proses chemical polishing, dan proses assembly. Oleh karenanya, melalui program magang industri sangatlah penting bagi mahasiswa teknik mesin industri untuk menambah wawasan serta pengalaman pada dunia kerja. Selain itu, di PT. Panasonic Gobel Life Solution Manufacturing Indonesia mahasiswa akan belajar banyak hal yang berkaitan dengan mektatronika, menggambar teknik dan elemen mesin. Sebuah penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengalaman magang memberikan pengaruh positif pada mahasiswa terhadap kesiapan kerja. Hal ini tentu menunjukan adanya manfaat program magang industri ini dalam membangun kesiapan mahasiswa dalam memasuki dunia kerja serta dalam meningkatkan kualitas lulusan perguruan tinggi.

As a developing country, Indonesia is currently intensively constructing buildings, housing and factories. In line with this, the need for lamps in Indonesia is currently very large, especially for public and personal lighting. One of the lamp manufacturing processes is at PT. Panasonic Gobel Life Solutions Manufacturing Indonesia. The types of lamps produced by PT. Panasonic Gobel Life Solutions Manufacturing Indonesia are classified into 2, namely semiconductor technology lamps and downlight lamps. These two types of lamps have different production processes. In semiconductor technology lamps, the process consists of installing surface mount device (SMD) components and installing non-surface mount device (Non-SMD) components. While for downlight lamps, it consists of cutting aluminum plates with a CNC machine, forming downlight reflector caps with a spinning machine, chemical polishing processes, and assembly processes. Therefore, through the industrial internship program, it is very important for industrial mechanical engineering students to increase their insight and experience in the world of work. In addition, at PT. Panasonic Gobel Life Solution Manufacturing Indonesia students will learn many things related to mectatronics, engineering drawing and machine elements. A study shows that internship experience has a positive influence on students' work readiness. This certainly shows the benefits of this industrial internship program in building student readiness to enter the workforce and in improving the quality of college graduates.
