Abstract
Dalam industri manufaktur, efisiensi produksi menjadi faktor utama dalam meningkatkan daya saing perusahaan. Salah satu tantangan yang dihadapi PT Komatsu Remanufacturing Asia adalah tingginya lead time pada aktivitas support di area Engine Assembly, terutama dalam proses pemindahan engine menggunakan overhead crane. Proses ini memiliki beberapa keterbatasan, seperti jumlah crane yang terbatas dan waktu tunggu yang tinggi, sehingga berpotensi menyebabkan pemborosan waktu dan menurunkan produktivitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi lapangan, wawancara, serta analisis data menggunakan Value Stream Mapping (VSM), diagram Pareto, dan fishbone diagram untuk mengidentifikasi akar permasalahan. Dari hasil analisis, diusulkan perancangan alat bantu berupa kereta engine stand bertenaga motor sebagai solusi alternatif dalam memindahkan engine. Perancangan dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak Autodesk Inventor untuk memastikan aspek keamanan dan efisiensi desain.Diharapkan implementasi kereta engine stand ini dapat mengurangi lead time aktivitas support, meningkatkan efisiensi produksi, serta mendukung konsep lean manufacturing dalam mengoptimalkan alur kerja di PT Komatsu Remanufacturing Asia.

In the manufacturing industry, production efficiency is a key factor in enhancing a company's competitiveness. One of the challenges faced by PT Komatsu Remanufacturing Asia is the high lead time in support activities within the Engine Assembly area, particularly in engine transfer processes using overhead cranes. This process has several limitations, such as limited crane availability and long waiting times, leading to time waste and reduced productivity. This study employs field observations, interviews, and data analysis using Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Pareto diagrams, and fishbone diagrams to identify the root causes of the problem. Based on the analysis, a motorized engine stand cart is proposed as an alternative solution for transferring engines. The design process utilizes Autodesk Inventor software to ensure safety and efficiency aspects. The implementation of this motorized engine stand cart is expected to reduce lead time in support activities, enhance production efficiency, and support the lean manufacturing concept in optimizing workflow at PT Komatsu Remanufacturing Asia.
