Abstract

TPST Bantargebang terletak di Kecamatan Bantargebang, Kota Bekasi. Pada saat ini TPST Bantargebang telah menerapkan sistem landfill mining. Material gali yang ditambang merupakan sampah yang sudah ditimbun selama minimal 6 tahun. Kemudian material gali tersebut akan diolah dengan beberapa cara yaitu pengomposan, dan RDF. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kuantitas, komposisi dan karakteristik material gali yang diolah, mengkaji tahap-tahap pengolahan material gali, menentukan jenis produk yang dihasilkan, serta mengkaji aspek finansial. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan kegiatan sampling dan observasi lapangan. Sampling dilakukan untuk menentukan kuantitas material gali dengan metode load count analysis terhadap 3 kendaraan pengangkut sampah selama 8 hari. Komposisi material gali dengan metode random sampling dan teknik perempatan. Observasi dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data tahapan pengolahan material gali, jenis hasil olahan material gali, jumlah fasilitas pengolahan. Selain itu, dibutuhkan data penunjang untuk penelitian ini yaitu jumlah SDM yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pengolahan material gali serta biaya produksi pengolahan material gali. Data penunjang didapatkan dari arsip kantor TPST Bantargebang. Data tersebut digunakan untuk mengkaji aspek teknis dan aspek finansial di TPST Bantargebang. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan kuantitas berat material gali yang diolah di TPST Bantargebang setiap hari adalah 81,43 ton/hari dengan volume sebesar 147 m3 /hari. Komposisi material gali di TPST Bantargebang terdiri atas plastik (33,89%), material gali berukuran 10-30 mm (20,12%), material gali berukuran >10 mm (13,93%), kayu (13,69%), lain-lain (6,07%), kain (2,49%), sisa kebun (2,64%), karet (2,21%), diapers (2,13%), kaca (1,20%), Styrofoam (0,82%), logam (0,47%), B3 (0,23%), sisa makanan (0,08%) dan kertas (0,02%). Kadar air material gali berukuran <10 mm sebesar 47,57%, ukuran 10-30 mm sebesar 44,95% dan ukuran >30 mm sebesar 48,73%. Nilai karbon organik dan nitrogen pada sampel berukuran <10 mm masing-masing sebesar 52,87% dan 2,10%. Sedangkan pada sampel berukuran 10-30 mm masing-masing sebesar 56,67% dan 1,89%. Nilai kalor pada material gali sebesar 4.318,09 Kkal/kg. kandungan sulfur dan klorin masing-masing sebesar 0,49% dan 0,47%. Pengolahan material gali di TPST Bantargebang terdiri atas pemilahan dan pencacahan material gali. Pemilahan dilakukan secara mekanik dan manual. Pemilahan secara mekanik dilakukan dengan mesin trommel screen dan wind shifter. Sedangkan pencacahan material gali dilakukan secara mekanik dengan fine shredder. Hasil pengolahan material gali di TPST Bantargebang adalah RDF sebanyak 44,81 ton/hari dan kompos sebanyak 26,74 ton/hari. Biaya operasional dan pemeliharaan yang dibutuhkan untuk kegiatan pengolahan material gali di TPST Bantargebang sebesar Rp 27.801.976 per hari.

Bantargebang Recycling Facility (BRF) is located in Bantargebang District, Bekasi. Currently, the BRF has implemented landfill mining. Excavated material is waste that has been stockpiled for more than 6 years. The excavated materials will be processed in several ways are composting and Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). This study aims to determine the quantity, composition and characteristics of the processed excavator materials, examine the stages of excavator materials processing, determine the type of product produced, and examine the financial aspects. This study was started with sampling activities and observation. Sampling activities to determine the quantity of excavated materials using load count analysis method towards 3 dump truck for 8 days. Excavated materials composition was determined using random sampling method and intersection technique. Observations were made to obtain data on the stages of waste processing, types of processed waste, number of processing facilities. In addition, the supporting data for this research are the amount of human resources who involved in waste processing activities and the production costs of waste processing. Supporting data were obtained from the archives of the BRF. The data were used to examine the technical and financial aspects of the BRF. The study showed that quantity of excavated material at the BRF was 81,43 tons/day with a volume of 147 m3/day. The composition of excavated materials consisted of plastic (33,89%), excavated material 10-30 mm sized (20,12%), excavated material >10 mm sized (13,93%), wood (13,69%), others (6,07%), cloth (2,49%), garden waste (2,64%), rubber (2,21%), diapers (2,13%), glass (1,20%), styrofoam (0,82%), metals (0,47%), hazardous waste (0,23%), food waste (0,08%) and paper (0,02%). The organic carbon and nitrogen contents in samples of <10 mm sized were 52,87% and 2,10%, respectively. While in samples of 10-30 mm sized were 56,67% and 1,89%, respectively. The calorific value of the excavated material was 4.318,09 Kcal/kg. The sulfur and chlorine contents were 0,49% and 0,47%, respectively. The processing of excavated materials at the BRF consists of sorting and chopping the excavated materials. Sorting is performed mechanically and manually. Mechanical sorting was done with a trommel screen and a wind shifter. Chopping was done with a fine shredder. The results of processing excavated materials at the BRF are 44,81 tons/day of RDF and 26,74 tons/day of compost. The estimated operational and maintenance costs for the processing of excavated materials at the BRF was Rp 27.801.976 per day
