Abstract

Teknologi Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) kini semakin banyak dikembangkan.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology is now increasingly being developed. Research and development is carried out to produce Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to be more effective and efficient in overcoming resource limitations which so far have only relied on batteries as the main source. It is undeniable that an independent generator in this case is very much needed for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to be able to fly longer with a longer cruising range. The use of a BLDC Generator as an independent power plant is an option because in terms of construction that does not require special maintenance, is easy to carry anywhere and the price is quite cheap.
Based on this background, this research will discuss a design, design to the process of prototyping a self-supporting generation system using a BLDC Generator. The design of the generating system consists of a BLDC Generator and Gasoline Engine that are closely coupled with each other with predetermined specifications. After all the components of the prototype system have been designed, testing will be carried out. Testing is carried out without load and weight. In the no-load test, a maximum voltage of 80 volts dc with a speed of 11050 rpm was obtained, and the rated output power in a loaded state of 515 watts with a speed of 6100 rpm.
From the results of the study, it was obtained that the implementation of the design of the BLDC Generator generation system prototype could work according to the desired design, the measured power of 515 watts has met the accumulated calculation of the relative power needs of the quadcopter type UAV during takeoff.
