Abstract

Industri konstruksi di Indonesia memiliki kontribusi signifikan terhadap ekonomi nasional, namun tertinggal dalam adopsi teknologi dan metode baru dibandingkan dengan sektor lainnya. Selain itu, ada kekhawatiran terkait dampak lingkungan dari industri ini. Strategi lean construction bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dengan mengurangi pemborosan dan menambah nilai pada proyek konstruksi. Meskipun penerapan lean construction telah berhasil di beberapa negara, konsep ini masih memerlukan peningkatan pengetahuan dan penerapan di Indonesia, di mana sekitar 60-70% kontraktor menunjukkan kesiapan untuk mengadopsinya. Namun, resistensi terhadap perubahan budaya kerja dan kurangnya prioritas dalam sektor konstruksi Indonesia menghambat implementasi lean secara efektif. Keberhasilan lean construction sangat bergantung pada kerjasama antara pemilik proyek, kontraktor, dan pemasok, yang penting untuk perubahan budaya dan praktik kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor apa saja berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan penerapan lean construction di Indonesia, khususnya di Jawa Timur. Melalui survei kuesioner dan analisis menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS), studi ini akan mengungkap faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kinerja konstruksi di Indonesia, memberikan wawasan yang dapat membantu industri memanfaatkan lean construction secara lebih efektif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa variabel yang memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesuksesan konstruksi lean adalah faktor kebijakan organisasi yang berpengaruh sebesar 0.462 (46.2%), kemudian faktor pengaruh terbesar kedua dipengaruhi oleh faktor kerja tim sebesar 0.296 (29.6%), dan yang terakhir dipengaruhi oleh faktor kepemimpinan sebesar 0.239 (23.9%). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan dipengaruhi oleh faktor tenaga kerja dan sumber daya (71.1%), sementara kebijakan organisasi dipengaruhi oleh optimalisasi (88.7%). Namun, beberapa variabel tidak berpengaruh, seperti tenaga kerja dan sumber daya terhadap kerja tim, kebijakan organisasi terhadap kerja tim, serta optimalisasi terhadap kepemimpinan dan kerja tim.

The construction industry in Indonesia has a significant contribution to the national economy, but lags behind in the adoption of new technologies and methods compared to other sectors. In addition, there are concerns regarding the environmental impact of this industry. The lean construction strategy aims to improve efficiency by reducing waste and adding value to construction projects. Although the implementation of lean construction has been successful in several countries, the concept still requires increased knowledge and application in Indonesia, where around 60-70% of contractors have shown readiness to adopt it. However, resistance to changing work culture and lack of priority in Indonesia's construction sector hinder the effective implementation of lean. The success of lean construction relies heavily on collaboration between project owners, contractors, and suppliers, which is essential for cultural changes and work practices. This study aims to identify what factors affect the success of the implementation of lean construction in Indonesia, especially in East Java. Through questionnaire surveys and analyses using the Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method, this study will uncover the factors that affect construction performance in Indonesia, providing insights that can help the industry utilize lean construction more effectively. The results of this study show that the variable that has a positive and significant influence on the success of lean construction is the influential organizational policy factor of 0.462 (46.2%), then the second largest influencing factor is influenced by the teamwork factor of 0.296 (29.6%), and the last is influenced by the leadership factor of 0.239 (23.9%). This study shows that leadership is influenced by labor and resource factors (71.1%), while organizational policies are influenced by optimization (88.7%). However, some variables have no effect, such as labor and resources on teamwork, organizational policies on teamwork, and optimization on leadership and teamwork.
