Abstract

The site layout in construction projects refers to the area designated for placing temporary supporting facilities. The arrangement of these facilities impacts the optimization of productivity, costs, and worker safety. This study aims to optimize the site layout of the construction project for the UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang campus. Optimization was conducted using the Multi-Objectives Function method, focusing on three main aspects: travelling distance (TD), degree of hazard (DH), and travelling cost (TC). Additionally, the relationships between facilities were considered through the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC). Various layout alternatives were designed by considering the proximity of facilities and analyzed using pareto optimal graphs and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the most optimal alternative. The study resulted in seven site layout alternatives. Based on the analysis, the third alternative layout was selected as the most optimal. This alternative demonstrated efficiency improvements with a reduction in travelling distance by 15.33%, degree of hazard by 13.85%, and travelling cost by 28.21% compared to the existing layout.
