Abstract
Konsep keberlanjutan, yang muncul pada awal 1970-an, terus berkembang sebagai kesadaran akan tanggung jawab individu dalam aktivitas yang berdampak pada generasi mendatang. Universitas, sebagai institusi pendidikan yang juga dapat dipandang sebagai perusahaan yang bergerak pada bidang pendidikan, berperan sebagai agent of change untuk mencapai keberlanjutan, termasuk melalui pengelolaan ruang pembelajaran informal sebagai properti perusahaan. Ruang ini tidak hanya mendukung pengembangan soft skill seperti kreativitas dan kolaborasi, tetapi juga menjadi bagian penting dari strategi properti universitas untuk mendukung keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kriteria keberhasilan dalam ruang pembelajaran informal di universitas dan menganalisis performanya dalam mendukung keberlanjutan. Studi dilakukan di Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) dengan melibatkan mahasiswa sebagai responden survei. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan EFA (Exploratory Factor Analysis) untuk menganalisis faktor utama, serta IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) untuk mengevaluasi performa ruang pembelajaran informal. Hasil EFA menunjukkan empat faktor utama: Faktor 1, Faktor 2, Faktor 3, dan Faktor 4. Berdasarkan analisis IPA, Faktor 2 berada di Kuadran 4, menunjukkan pentingnya peningkatan performa, sementara Faktor 3 berada di Kuadran 1, menunjukkan performa yang baik dan perlu dipertahankan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ruang pembelajaran informal di ITS memainkan peran penting sebagai properti perusahaan dalam mendukung keberlanjutan. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini mencakup pengembangan kebijakan untuk meningkatkan desain ruang yang berorientasi pada kebutuhan mahasiswa dan strategi keberlanjutan, sehingga properti universitas dapat memberikan nilai tambah bagi seluruh pemangku kepentingan.

The concept of sustainability, which emerged in the early 1970s, has continued to evolve alongside growing awareness of individual responsibility for activities that impact future generations. Universities, as educational institutions that can also be regarded as enterprises operating in education, play a pivotal role as agents of change in achieving sustainability. This includes managing informal learning spaces as part of institutional property. These spaces support the development of soft skills such as creativity and collaboration and serve as a critical component of university property strategies to promote social sustainability. This study aims to identify the success criteria in informal learning spaces at universities and to analyze their performance in supporting social sustainability. The research was conducted at the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) by engaging students as survey respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to identify key factors, and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) to evaluate the performance of informal learning spaces. The EFA results revealed four key factors: Factor 1, Factor 2, Factor 3, and Factor 4. Based on the IPA analysis, Factor 2 was in Quadrant 4, indicating the need for performance improvement. Meanwhile, Factor 3 was situated in Quadrant 1, reflecting good performance that should be maintained. The study concludes that informal learning spaces at ITS play a significant role as institutional property in supporting sustainability. Practical implications of this research include the development of policies to enhance the design of spaces oriented toward student needs and social sustainability strategies, ensuring that university properties provide added value for all stakeholders.
