Abstract

In today’s competitive business environment, companies rely heavily on employees, not only for daily operations but also for long-term success. Appreciation of employee efforts, skill development, and providing a platform to improve competency are essential to a company’s strategy. Certification plays an important role in validating employee skills, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and aligning with company strategy. This final project examines the need for certification in the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) job family and the Corporate Strategy and Business Development job family at PT Petrokimia Gresik, one of the main divisions in the agro-industry sector in Indonesia. The method used in this study is qualitative based on descriptive analysis. The data used in conducting the certification analysis is primary data through interviews with learning partners and secondary data including the draft of the company's strategic issues in 2025, the company's long-term plan (RJPP) for 2025-2029, SKKNI Number 319 of 2017, positions and job descriptions of employees in the Sustainability & HSE job family and the Corporate Strategy & Business Development job family, the 2023 hard competency dictionary, regulations in the fertilizer and chemical industry, and benchmark results with similar companies. The research produced details of certification needs for each competency and its level in 84 Sustainability & HSE job family positions and 106 Corporate Strategy & Business Development job family positions with reference to the competency profile. To make the monitoring process in achieving certification easier, a dashboard has been designed with two main functions; as a tool for visualizing certification data and as an employee assessment center. The results of the employee assessment center will be connected to certification needs in order to ensure that each employee has the competencies that are in accordance with those listed in the competency profile. The results of this study are expected to provide suggestions regarding the certification needed to verify employee competency at PT Petrokimia Gresik.

Dalam lingkungan bisnis yang kompetitif saat ini, perusahaan sangat bergantung pada karyawan, tidak hanya untuk operasional harian tetapi juga untuk keberhasilan jangka panjang. Apresiasi terhadap upaya karyawan, pengembangan keterampilan, serta penyediaan wadah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi merupakan hal penting dalam strategi perusahaan. Sertifikasi berperan penting dalam memvalidasi keahlian karyawan, memastikan kesesuaian terhadap standar dalam industri, dan menyelaraskan dengan strategi perusahaan. Pada tugas akhir ini mengkaji kebutuhan sertifikasi dalam job family Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) dan job family Corporate Strategy and Business Development di PT Petrokimia Gresik, salah satu bagian utama dalam bidang agroindustri di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah kualitatif berdasarkan analisis deskriptif. Data yang digunakan dalam melakukan analisis sertifikasi adalah data primer melalui wawancara dengan learning partner dan data sekunder yang meliputi draft isu strategis perusahaan tahun 2025, rencana jangka panjang perusahaan (RJPP) tahun 2025-2029, SKKNI Nomor 319 Tahun 2017, jabatan dan uraian pekerjaan karyawan pada job family Sustainability & HSE dan job family Corporate Strategy & Business Development, kamus hard competency tahun 2023, regulasi pada industri pupuk dan kimia, dan hasil benchmark dengan perusahaan sejenis. Penelitian menghasilkan rincian kebutuhan sertifikasi untuk tiap kompetensi dan levelnya pada 84 jabatan job family Sustainability & HSE dan 106 jabatan job family Corporate Strategy & Business Development dengan mengacu pada competency profile. Agar proses pemantauan dalam mencapai sertifikasi menjadi lebih mudah, sebuah dashboard telah dirancang dengan dua fungsi utama; sebagai alat untuk visualisasi data sertifikasi dan sebagai employee assessment center. Hasil dari employee assessment center itu akan terhubung dengan kebutuhan sertifikasi agar dapat memastikan setiap karyawan memiliki kompetensi yang sesuai dengan yang tercantum dalam competency profile. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan saran terkait sertifikasi yang diperlukan untuk memverifikasi kompetensi karyawan di PT Petrokimia Gresik.
