Abstract

Emergency Shutdown System (ESD System) merupakan "safety sistem" yang tennasuk dalarn terminologi Safety Instrument System (SIS), dimana SIS adalah system instrumentasi dan kontrol yang mengintegrasikan input control - output dan difungsikan secara khusus dan independent untuk kondisi hazard. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan perancangan Emergency Shutdown System pada simulator system pengendalian pressure dan temperature, dimana sensor yang dipergunakan untuk memonitor variabel pressure adalah pressure gauge dan sensor yang dipergunakan untuk mengukur variabel temperature adalah LM35. Hasil monitoring secara online ini diolah oleh microcontroller AT89S51 guna menghasilkan output untuk mengindikasikan kondisi proses dalam keadaan operasi nonnal atau berbahaya (emergency) berupa alarm dan flashing lamp. Dari implementasi ESD padasimulator sistem pengendalian pressure dan temperature dapat diperoleh sebuah sensor pressure yang memiliki nilai sensitivitas sebesar 0.351 Volt/Psi dan sebuah sensor temperature dengan nilai sensitivitas 0.01 Volt/°C.

Emergency Shutdown System (ESD System) is an safety system which included in Safety Instrument System (SIS) terminology, where SIS is control and instrumentation system which is integrating input - control - output and functioned particulaly and independent for condition of hazard At this final project will be done scheme of Emergency Shutdown System at pressure and temperature control system simulator, where utilized censor for monitoring pressure variable is
pressure gauge and utilized censor for measuring temperature variable is LM35. This monitoring result onlinely controlled by microcontro/ler AT89S51 to give an output for indicating the condition of process in a state of normally operation or dangerous condition (emergency) using hom and flashing lamp. From implementation ESD at pressure and temperature control system simulator have a pressure censor which have sensitivity value equal to 0.351 Volt/Psi and a temperature censor with sensitivity value ofO.Ol Volt/ C.
