Abstract
Adanya kontak pada mechanical gear menimbulkan beberapa kerugian seperti keausan pada roda gigi, peningkatan suhu berlebih akibat gesekan yang berulang secara terus-menerus, suara bising dari gesekan yang terjadi, serta karena tidak adanya slip, saat terjadi torsi berlebih akan mengakibatkan roda gigi dapat mengalami kerusakan parah. Oleh karena itu, perawatan dan pelumasan sangatlah penting untuk meningkatkan umur roda gigi. Salah satu jenis magnetic gear yang ada adalah radial internal magnetic spur gear. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan analisa bagaimana performa dari jenis radial internal magnetic spur gear berdasarkan torsi yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan dengan metode numerik menggunakan Ansys Maxwell dan juga metode eksperimen untuk menganalisa besar torsi dari radial internal magnetic spur gear. Semakin banyak jumlah pole yang digunakan maka akan semakin besar nilai torsi maskimum yang dapat ditransmisikan oleh pasangan magnetic gear ini. Dengan interval penambahan 2 hingga 4 pole pada high speed gear, dan 4 hingga 8 pole pada low speed gear, maka akan didapatkan kenaikan nilai torsi statis maskimum sebesar 15,9% dan 43%. Selain itu, didapatkan pula bahwa semakin kecil air gap yang ada maka akan semakin meningkat nilai torsi yang dapat ditransmisikan oleh radial internal magnetic spur gear. Dengan interval pengecilan air gap sebesar 0,2 mm, maka akan didapatkan kenaikan nilai torsi maksimum sebesar 3,8% hingga 5,3%.

Therefore, maintenance and lubrication are very important to increase the life of the gears. One type of magnetic gear that exists is the radial internal magnetic spur gear. This research will analyze how the performance of the radial internal magnetic spur gear type is based on the torque generated. This research will be carried out using a numerical method using Ansys Maxwell and also an experimental method to analyze the torque of the radial internal magnetic spur gear. The more the number of poles used, the greater the maximum torque value that can be transmitted by this pair of magnetic gears. With the interval of adding 2 to 4 poles on the high speed gear, and 4 to 8 poles on the low speed gear, it will get an increase in the maximum static torque value of 15.9% and 43%, respectively. In addition, it was also found that the smaller the air gap, the higher the torque value that can be transmitted by the radial internal magnetic spur gear. With an air gap reduction interval of 0.2 mm, an increase in the maximum torque value of 3.8% to 5.3% will be obtained.
