Abstract

Cacat dianggap sebagai salah satu pemborosan dalam sistem manufaktur yang berdampak negatif mempengaruhi waktu pengiriman, biaya dan kualitas produk yang menyebabkan perusahaan manufaktur menghadapi situasi kritis kualitas. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus perusahaan manufaktur kendaraan yang terletak di Karawang, Jawa Barat. Saat ini perusahaan mengalami permasalahan kualitas cacat fungsi yang masih berada diatas target perusahaan. Beberapa cacat dominan pada garis perakitan telah dianalisa terutama cacat penyambungan konektor pada penyambungan relay dan ECU body. Penelitian ini memaparkan aplikasi studi kasus dari lean manufaturing dengan tujuan mengeliminasi cacat penyambungan pada relay dan ECU body. Metode yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan perbaikan berkelanjutan atau kaizen yaitu siklus Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) yang diimplementasikan. Beberapa alat tambahan juga digunakan seperti diagram pareto, dan root cause analysis sebagai alat kualitas pembantu untuk mendukung jalan nya siklus. Perbaikan dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan monitor visualisasi matriks, modifikasi perekatan kabel dan harigami. Hasil penerapan siklus PDCA menghasilkan penurunan kasus cacat penyambungan relay dan penyambungan ECU body yang awal mulanya secara berturut-turut terdeteksi sebesar 0,000329 dpv dan 0,000158 dpv menjadi nol dan tidak terdeteksi kembali dalam satu bulan pemantauan setelah implementasi.

Defects are considered as one of the wastes in the manufacturing system which negatively affects delivery time, cost and product quality which causes manufacturing companies to face quality critical situations. This research is a case study of a vehicle manufacturing company located in Karawang, West Java. Currently the company is experiencing quality problems with functional defects which are still above the company's target. Several dominant defects in the assembly line have been analyzed, especially defects in the connecting of the connectors in the connection of the relay and ECU body. For that reason, this study describes the application of a case study of lean manufacturing with the aim of eliminating the connection defects in the relay and ECU body. By using a cycle method that can produce continuous improvement or kaizen, namely the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle that is implemented. Some additional tools are also used such as
Pareto diagrams, and root cause analysis are used as auxiliary quality tools to support the course of the cycle. Improvements were made by using a matrix visualization monitor, modification of cable taping and harigami posters. As a result, cases of defective relay connection and ECU body connection which were initially detected at 0.000329 dpv and 0.000158 dpv respectively became zero and were not detected again within one month of monitoring after implementation.
