Abstract
Petani sorgum nusantara saat ini masih menggunakan cara manual dalam mengayak tepung sorgum lebih tepatnya petani sorgum di Tembelang Jombang Jawa Timur.Hasil pengayakan tepung sorgum masih meninggalkan masalah yaitu kehalusan dari tepung sorgum sendiri masih kasar dan memerlukan waktu yang lama. Perlu dilakukan beberapa kali proses ayakan agar menghasilkan tepung yang halus yaitu 200 mesh. Dari permasalahan tersebut dirancang mesin pengayak tepung sorgum dengan menggunakan sistem goncang memutar. Proses pembuatan mesin diawali dari merancang desain mesin dan mekanisme saringan pengayak. Kemudian dilakukan perhitungan, dimulai dengan mencari gaya dan daya yang terdapat pada sistem transmisi dan menghitung perencanaan poros, pasak dan bearing. Setelah pembuatan mesin kemudian melakukan pengujian kapasitas yang dapat dihasilkan oleh mesin pengayak tepung sorgum. Dari hasil perhitungan dan uji coba mesin, didapatkan data yaitu gaya yang dihasilkan sebesar 12,1 kgf dan daya sebesar 0,21 kW.Dengan daya perencanaan sebesar 0,279 kW .Bahan poros yang digunakan standar baja AISI 1117dengan diameter 25mm, bahan pasak yaitu standart bajan 1117 dengan lebar 5mm dan panjang 4 mm, serta bearing tipe pillow blok bearing dengan prediksi umur bearing A = 232668566 jam kerja dan prediksi umur bearing B = 13611111 jam kerja. Setelah dilakukan percobaan, didapatkan hasil ayakan tepung mencapai 36 kg/jam.

Currently, Indonesian sorghum farmers are still using manual methods to sift sorghum flour, more precisely sorghum farmers in Tembelang Jombang, East Java. The sieve process needs to be done several times to produce a fine flour that is 200 mesh. From these problems, a sorghum flour sieving machine was designed using a rotating shake system. The process of making the machine begins with designing the engine design and the sieving filter mechanism. Then the calculation is carried out, starting with finding the force and power contained in the transmission system and calculating the design of the shaft, key and bearing. After making the machine then testing the capacity that can be produced by the sorghum flour sieving machine. From the results of calculations and machine testing, data obtained are the resulting force of 12.1 kgf and power of 0.21 kW. With a planning power of 0.279 kW. The shaft material used is AISI 1117 steel standard with a diameter of 25mm, the peg material is standard steel 1117 with a width of 5mm and a length of 4 mm, as well as a pillow block bearing type bearing with a prediction of bearing life A = 232668566 working hours and bearing life prediction B = 13611111 working hours. After the experiment, the results of the flour sieve reached 36 kg/hour.
