Abstract

Global Languages Center (GLC) Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember merupakan unit yang berperan strategis dalam pengembangan kompetensi bahasa melalui jalur ekstrakurikuler. Website bahasa.its.ac.id sebagai platform digital GLC-ITS berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai media informasi, tetapi juga sebagai penghubung dalam membangun jaringan komunikasi dan kerja sama di bidang pengajaran bahasa dengan berbagai institusi pendidikan tinggi. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan digitalisasi, diperlukan pembaruan desain website untuk mengoptimalkan penyampaian informasi dan layanan kepada pengguna. Proses implementasi redesign website melibatkan penggunaan teknologi HTML untuk struktur konten, CSS untuk styling, dan framework Bootstrap untuk komponen antarmuka yang responsif. Proses ini melibatkan beberapa tahapan utama, termasuk analisis kebutuhan pengguna, perancangan ulang elemen visual dengan pendekatan desain responsif, serta implementasi fitur-fitur baru yang memperbaiki navigasi dan penyajian informasi. Desain ulang ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan antarmuka yang modern, memudahkan aksesibilitas, dan meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna di berbagai perangkat. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam aspek user experience website bahasa.its.ac.id. Penggunaan framework Bootstrap berhasil menciptakan antarmuka yang lebih modern, responsif, dan mudah diakses melalui berbagai perangkat. Struktur navigasi yang lebih intuitif dan tata letak konten yang terorganisir dengan baik memberikan kemudahan bagi pengguna dalam mengakses informasi dan layanan GLC-ITS. Redesign ini juga menghasilkan platform yang lebih fleksibel untuk pengembangan dan pembaruan konten di masa mendatang.

Global Languages Center (GLC) of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember plays a strategic role in language competency development through extracurricular pathways. The website bahasa.its.ac.id serves not only as an information medium but also as a digital platform that connects and fosters collaboration in language education with various higher education institutions. In line with advancements in information technology and digitalization, a website redesign is necessary to optimize information delivery and user services. The redesign implementation process involved the use of HTML for content structure, CSS for styling, and the Bootstrap framework for responsive interface components. This process included several key stages, such as user needs analysis, visual element redesign with a responsive design approach, and the implementation of new features to improve navigation and information presentation. The goal of the redesign was to create a modern interface, enhance accessibility, and improve user experience across various devices. The implementation results showed a significant improvement in the user experience of bahasa.its.ac.id. The use of the Bootstrap framework successfully delivered a more modern, responsive, and accessible interface across multiple devices. A more intuitive navigation structure and well-organized content layout made it easier for users to access GLC-ITS information and services. The redesign also provided a more flexible platform for future content development and updates.
