Abstract

Manajemen persediaan merupakan proses penting dalam operasional perusahaan, terutama dalam menjaga keakuratan persediaan stok. Salah satu metode yang biasa dilakukan adalah stock taking, yang bertujuan untuk melakukan perhitungan, pencatatan serta pengecekan kondisi stok persediaan secara sistem dan fisik di gudang. Dalam proses operasional di industri sering terjadi kendala pada hasil stock taking, yakni ketidakakuratan stok tercatat secara sistem dan fisik. Permasalahan ini terjadi pada gudang sparepart PT.X yang mengalami ketidakuratan pada hasil laporan stock taking, terdapat selisih pada beberapa sparepart yang memiliki total selisih stok senilai ratusan juta rupiah. Ketidakakuratan stok ini dapat terjadi disebabkan oleh beberapa hal meliputi kesalahan operasional, kesalahan manusia dan keterbatasan sistem. Pada penelitian ini direkomendasikan metode penjadwalan Cycle counting dengan ABC-VED analisis menjadi tiga kelas prioritas persediaan sebagai pendekatan stock taking untuk menangkap karakteristik nilai dan kritikalitas sparepart. Berdasarkan simulasi didapatkan hasil penurunan average inventory level dan durasi error yang signifikan seiring meningkatnya frekuensi Cycle counting sesuai dengan kelas prioritas persediaan. Selain itu juga diberikan rekomendasi improvement terkait human error identification dengan modifikasi model Quality Function Deployment (QFD) model, didapatkan rekomendasi perbaikan dengan rasio efektivitas terhadap pencapaian kinerja target tertinggi yakni penambahan pencahayaan pada area kerja rawan, redesign area kerja dengan label dan informasi yang jelas, serta implementasi teknologi hand device scanner pada aktivitas operasional untuk meningkatkan performa kerja operator. Sehingga dalam perubahan metode stock taking dengan dukungan peningkatan performa kerja yang tepat akan memberikan efektifitas dan akurasi stock taking pada gudang sparepart PT. X.

Inventory management is a critical process in company operations, especially in maintaining inventory stock accuracy. One commonly used method is stock taking, which aims to count, record, and check the inventory conditions both system and physical stock within the warehouse. However, in real industrial operations, stock taking often encounters issues, particularly discrepancies between system and physical counted stock. This issue occurred in the spare parts warehouse of PT. X, where inaccuracies in stock taking reports were found, with discrepancies in several spare parts amounting to hundreds of millions of rupiah. These inaccuracies were caused by operational errors, human errors and system limitations. This study proposes the use of a Cycle counting method with the ABC-VED analysis to classify inventory into three priority classes to capture the value and criticality characteristics of spareparts as a stock taking approach. Simulation results show a significant reduction in both average inventory level and error duration in line with increased Cycle counting frequency according to inventory priority class. Additionally, human error identification improvements are proposed using a modified Quality Function Deployment (QFD) model, resulting improvement recommendations with the highest effectiveness ratio in achieving performance targets include enhancing lighting in vulnerable work areas, redesigning workstations with clear labeling and information, and implementing hand-held scanner devices in operational activities to improve operator performance. Therefore, the implementation of the stock taking recommendation method supported by enhancements in workforce performance will improve the effectiveness and accuracy of stock taking processes in the spareparts warehouse at PT.X.
