Abstract
Media digital memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung promosi dan akses informasi pariwisata, terutama bagi generasi muda yang aktif menggunakan perangkat mobile. Sri Gitarja sebagai website pariwisata Kabupaten Mojokerto yang telah ada cenderung kurang diminati, sehingga berpotensi untuk dikembangkan menjadi media yang lebih interaktif dan praktis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang aplikasi mobile yang menyediakan informasi akurat dan mudah diakses tentang destinasi wisata di Kabupaten Mojokerto, meningkatkan pengalaman wisatawan melalui fitur interaktif, dan mendukung promosi pariwisata melalui teknologi digital.
Perancangan ini berfokus pada pengembangan media eksisting menjadi aplikasi mobile berbasis android menggunakan pendekatan design thinking yang meliputi tahapan empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Diperkuat penyusunan empathy map, user Journey map, affinity diagram, value proposition, hingga user persona yang mencerminkan karakteristik siswa, mahasiswa, dan pekerja sebagai target utama aplikasi. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, studi pustaka, serta wawancara partisipatif terhadap pengguna usia 18–35 tahun.
Hasil perancangan berupa aplikasi mobile bernama “Jajak Mojokerto” menghasilkan identitas aplikasi, struktur informasi, user flow, dan wireframe hingga desain final sesuai hasil analisis. Dilengkapi fitur seperti filter kategori wisata, peta interaktif, perencanaan perjalanan, komunitas pengguna, berita, dan trivia. Terdapat fitur kategori produk dan event lokal guna promosi digital UMKM. Aplikasi ini diharapkan menjadi media promosi wisata lokal yang lebih relevan, praktis, dan mendukung keterlibatan komunitas. Evaluasi dari Expert review dan penyesuaian hasil user testing menunjukkan aplikasi telah memenuhi sebagian besar prinsip usability seperti visibility, feedback, affordance, dan error prevention, serta dianggap telah menyajikan desain visual yang konsisten dan sesuai untuk target pengguna usia muda.

Digital media plays an important role in supporting tourism promotion and information access, especially for the younger generation who are active mobile device users. Sri Gitarja, as the official tourism website of Mojokerto Regency, tends to attract limited interest, making it a candidate for development into a more interactive and practical medium. This study aims to design a mobile application that provides accurate and easily accessible information about tourist destinations in Mojokerto Regency, enhances the visitor experience through interactive features, and supports tourism promotion through digital technology.
This design focuses on transforming the existing medium into an Android-based mobile application using the design thinking approach, which includes the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The process is supported by the development of an empathy map, user Journey map, affinity diagram, value proposition, and user personas that reflect the characteristics of students, university students, and workers as the primary target users. Data were obtained through observation, literature review, and participatory interviews with users aged 18–35 years.
The result of the design is a mobile application named Jajak Mojokerto, which includes the application identity, information structure, user flow, wireframes, and final design based on the analysis. It features category filters for tourist destinations, interactive maps, trip planning, user communities, news, and trivia. The application also includes categories for local products and events to promote MSMEs digitally. This application is expected to serve as a more relevant and practical medium for local tourism promotion and to support community engagement. Evaluation from Expert review and adjustments based on user testing show that the application meets most usability principles such as visibility, feedback, affordance, and error prevention, and is considered to deliver a consistent visual design suitable for the young target audience.
