Abstract

Energi terbarukan, khususnya energi panas bumi, memiliki potensi besar untuk mendukung keberlanjutan energi di Indonesia. Dengan target pemerintah untuk mencapai porsi 23% energi terbarukan dalam bauran energi nasional pada tahun 2025, pemanfaatan energi Geothermal menjadi salah satu strategi utama. Namun, keberhasilan pengembangan energi ini sangat bergantung pada persepsi dan dukungan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perspektif masyarakat terhadap implementasi dan penggunaan energi panas bumi sebagai energi terbarukan yang digunakan sehari-hari. Menggunakan teori difusi inovasi, penelitian ini menganalisis perspektif masyarakat melalui aspek yang mempengaruhinya yakni atribut inovasi itu sendiri. Atribut tersebut meliputi keuntungan relatif, kompatibilitas, kompleksitas, observabilitas, dan trialabilitas. Dalam menganalisis perspektif masyarakat, penelitian ini menggunakan masyarakat Indonesia yang sudah berumah tangga. Menggunakan metode pemilihan sample multivariat, penelitian ini akan dilakukan pada 235 responden. Data yang didapat selanjutnya akan dianalisis menggunakan tabulasi silang (Crosstab) untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja serta signifikansinya untuk mempengaruhi perspektif masyarakat terhadap implementasi energi panas bumi. Harapannya, penelitian ini akan mampu memberikan insight mengenai faktor pengaruh persepsi masyarakat terhadap energi panas bumi sehingga nantinya bisa digunakan sebagai bahan pertimbangan untuk pengembangan energi terbarukan ini.

Renewable energy, particularly geothermal energy, holds significant potential to support energy sustainability in Indonesia. With the government's target to achieve a 23% share of renewable energy in the national energy mix by 2025, the utilization of geothermal energy has become a key strategy. However, the successful development of this energy source heavily relies on public perception and support. Therefore, this research aims to analyze public perspectives towards the implementation and daily use of geothermal energy as a renewable energy source. Utilizing the diffusion of innovation theory, this study analyzes public perspectives through aspects that influence them, namely the attributes of the innovation itself. These attributes include relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, observability, and trialability. In analyzing public perspectives, this research focuses on Indonesian households. Employing a multivariate sample selection method, this study will involve 235 respondents. The collected data will then be analyzed using Cross Tabulation (Crosstab) to determine the factors and their significance in influencing public perspectives towards the implementation of geothermal energy. It is hoped that this research will provide insights into the factors influencing public perception of geothermal energy, which can then be used as considerations for the development of this renewable energy source.
