Abstract

Development is a series of efforts or a series of efforts for growth and change towards modernization in the context of national development, which are consciously planned and implemented by the nation, state, and government. The Directorate General of Highways plans to adopt Information and Communication Technology (ICT) by implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the business process of road and bridge construction. Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become an innovative solution in the construction industry, enabling digital modeling that covers various aspects of a project, such as planning, resource management, cost analysis, and work schedule simulation. Since 2021, BIM has been implemented, but the calculation of Quantity Take-off (QTO) is still done conventionally. Currently, the BIM method is starting to be recommended as an alternative in the calculation process. This study resulted in the modeling of the JIIPE connecting bridge located in Gresik, and in the calculation in determining the volume difference, for steel the conventional method produces 320750,0042 kg and BIM produces 310384,84 kg or 3.23%. For comparison, the BIM duration is calculated at 250 days while the conventional method is 255 days. And the price for the conventional method reaches Rp 36.076.192.045 while BIM is Rp 35.841.257.399. However, using BIM has additional costs such as software license fees and also the drafter so it will be more expensive. If using additional costs, the cost for the BIM method becomes Rp 36.136.168.799.
