Abstract
Strategi perawatan penting untuk memastikan operasi yang aman, reliable, dan cost-effective dari semua sistem dan peralatan kapal selama masa operasional kapal. Penelitian ini menyajikan pengembangan strategi perawatan untuk sistem pendingin mesin utama kapal dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) yang terintegrasi dengan Fuzzy‑FMEA. Tujuannya adalah mengidentifikasi komponen kritis, mengevaluasi potensi failure mode, dan menetapkan tindakan maintenance yang tepat berdasarkan keandalan sistem serta penilaian risiko. RCM konvensional menyediakan kerangka terstruktur untuk menganalisis fungsi sistem, konsekuensi kegagalan, dan pemilihan tugas pemeliharaan. Namun, subjektivitas dalam FMEA tradisional, terutama pada penilaian tingkat keparahan, kemungkinan kejadian, dan keterdeteksian, sering menghasilkan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) yang tidak konsisten. Untuk mengatasinya, fuzzy logic diterapkan pada proses FMEA sehingga penilaian risiko kegagalan di bawah ketidakpastian menjadi lebih akurat dan fleksibel. Analisis difokuskan pada komponen‑komponen utama dalam sistem pendingin mesin utama kapal, seperti seawater pump, heat exchanger, dan temperature control valve. Integrasi RCM dan Fuzzy‑FMEA menghasilkan rencana pemeliharaan terprioritaskan yang meningkatkan keandalan, mengurangi pemeliharaan yang tidak perlu, dan meminimalkan risiko kegagalan kritis. Dari penelitian ini, Terdapat dua kategori maintenance. Kategori A berjumlah 71 maintenance task, mencakup 92% dari total maintenance task pada sistem pendingin mesin utama kapal. Kategori B berjumlah 6 maintenance task, 8% dari total maintenance task. Berdasarkan jenis maintenancenya, terdapat condition monitoring berjumlah 27 maintenance task, mencakup 35% dari total maintenance task. Planned maintenance berjumlah 43 task, 56% dari total maintenance task. Sisanya adalah 2 kombinasi condition monitoring dan planned maintenance (2.6%), 1 failure finding task (1.3%), dan 4 one-time change (5.19%).

Maintenance strategies are essential to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of all ship systems and equipment throughout the vessel’s operational life. This study presents the development of a maintenance strategy for the main engine cooling system of a ship by employing an integrated approach combining Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Fuzzy Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (Fuzzy-FMEA). The objective is to identify critical components, evaluate potential failure modes, and determine appropriate maintenance actions based on system reliability and risk assessment. The integration of RCM and Fuzzy-FMEA results in a prioritized maintenance plan that enhances system reliability, reduces unnecessary maintenance, and minimizes the risk of critical failures. The study identifies two categories of maintenance. Category A comprises 71 maintenance tasks, accounting for 92% of the total maintenance tasks for the main engine cooling system. Category B includes 6 maintenance tasks, representing 8% of the total. Based on the type of maintenance, 27 tasks (35%) fall under condition monitoring, and 43 tasks (56%) are classified as planned maintenance. The remaining tasks include 2 that combine condition monitoring and planned maintenance (2.6%), 1 failure finding task (1.3%), and 4 one-time change tasks (5.19%).
