Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) menghadapi tantangan dalam proses
penakaran bahan granula seperti gula, kopi, dan tepung secara efisien dan presisi. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun prototipe alat otomatisasi penakaran granula
berbasis mikrokontroler Arduino Uno. Sistem ini mengintegrasikan sensor massa (load cell +
HX711), motor stepper dengan mekanisme auger screw, motor servo, LCD, serta push button
sebagai antarmuka pengguna. Metode penelitian meliputi observasi, perancangan sistem,
pemilihan komponen, perakitan, serta pengujian terhadap massa target 25g, 50g, dan 100g.
Pengujian dilakukan sebanyak 10 kali untuk masing-masing takaran dan jenis granula (gula,
kopi, dan tepung), sehingga total terdapat 90 kali pengujian. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan
bahwa alat mampu menakar bahan dengan tingkat error gramasi rata-rata di bawah 3 gram,
memenuhi syarat akurasi dan presisi yang dibutuhkan. Prototipe ini memberikan solusi
teknologi tepat guna yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan daya saing UMKM di sektor
pengemasan produk berbahan granula.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) face challenges in efficiently and
precisely weighing granule materials such as sugar, coffee, and flour. This study aims to design
and develop a microcontroller-based automated granule weighing prototype using Arduino
Uno. The system integrates a mass sensor (load cell + HX711), a stepper motor with an auger
screw mechanism, a servo motor, LCD, and push buttons as the user interface. The research
methodology includes field observation, system design, component selection, assembly, and
testing at target weights of 25g, 50g, and 100g. The testing was conducted 10 times for each
weight and type of granule (sugar, coffee, and flour), resulting in a total of 90 tests. Test results
show that the device is capable of measuring materials with an average error rate of less than 3
grams, meeting the required accuracy and precision standards. This prototype provides an
appropriate technological solution that can improve the efficiency and competitiveness of
MSMEs in the granular product packaging sector.
