Abstract

The nickel mining process has been carried out by several mining companies, one of which is PT Kalimantan Prima Persada. Mining activities consist of the productivity of loading equipment and hauling equipment. The productivity of loading and unloading equipment is strongly influenced by cycle time. Cycle time is the time it takes for a tool to perform one loading cycle. The problem faced in the nickel mining process is that nickel material has a high water content which causes sticking to the vessel truck. So the unloading process needs to be assisted by an excavator to clean the sticky nickel material on the Scania P410 vessel truck. The unloading process is very inefficient, using an excavator certainly requires additional operational costs and causes waiting time for the conveyance. This research aims to model the modification of the Scania P410 vessel truck by using a plunger board. The method used includes modeling and arduino programming to control the truck operation and unloading process. Based on the system test results, the unloading time with the modified Scania P410 vessel truck is 30 seconds. Meanwhile, the productivity of Scania P410 increased by 12% with an average of 69.94 Ton/Hour.
