Abstract
Transformasi digital melalui penerapan Building Information Modeling (BIM) dan Teknologi 4.0 semakin dipandang sebagai strategi penting dalam meningkatkan efisiensi, pengelolaan risiko, dan kinerja keberlanjutan proyek konstruksi. Meskipun demikian, kajian empiris yang secara integratif menganalisis peran BIM dan Teknologi 4.0 terhadap pengurangan risiko serta implikasinya terhadap keberlanjutan proyek infrastruktur publik di Indonesia masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh BIM dan Teknologi 4.0 terhadap pengurangan risiko proyek serta kinerja keberlanjutan, dengan pengurangan risiko sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap 120 profesional proyek infrastruktur publik yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur dan dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) untuk menguji hubungan kausal antar variabel. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa BIM dan Teknologi 4.0 berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pengurangan risiko proyek, dengan koefisien jalur masing-masing sebesar 0,341 dan 0,512, serta mampu menjelaskan 73,0% variasi pengurangan risiko. Selanjutnya, pengurangan risiko berpengaruh kuat terhadap kinerja keberlanjutan proyek dengan koefisien sebesar 0,818 dan menjelaskan 62,6% variasi keberlanjutan. Temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh tidak langsung BIM dan Teknologi 4.0 terhadap keberlanjutan melalui pengurangan risiko lebih dominan dibandingkan pengaruh langsung, yang menegaskan peran strategis manajemen risiko sebagai mekanisme penghubung. Model penelitian memenuhi seluruh kriteria validitas dan reliabilitas variabel. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa BIM dan Teknologi 4.0 berperan penting dalam mendorong manajemen risiko proaktif yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan kinerja keberlanjutan proyek infrastruktur publik.

However, empirical studies that integratively examine the role of BIM and Construction 4.0 technologies in reducing project risks and their implications for the sustainability performance of public infrastructure projects in Indonesia remain limited. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the impact of BIM and Construction 4.0 technologies on project risk reduction and sustainability performance, with risk reduction serving as a mediating variable. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 120 professionals engaged in public infrastructure projects, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine the causal relationships among the constructs. The results indicate that BIM and Construction 4.0 technologies have a significant effect on project risk reduction, with path coefficients of 0.341 and 0.512, respectively, explaining 73.0% of the variance in risk reduction. Furthermore, risk reduction has a strong influence on project sustainability performance, with a path coefficient of 0.818 and an explanatory power of 62.6%. The findings also reveal that the indirect effects of BIM and Construction 4.0 technologies on sustainability performance through risk reduction are more dominant than their direct effects, highlighting the strategic role of risk management as a mediating mechanism. The proposed model satisfies all construct validity and reliability criteria. This study concludes that BIM and Construction 4.0 technologies play a critical role in fostering proactive risk management, which ultimately enhances the sustainability performance of public infrastructure projects.
