Abstract
Kincir air merupakan salah satu pembangkit listrik skala kecil yang umum diketahui oleh masyarakat Indonesia pada umumnya. Kincir air lebih sederhana dibandingkan jenis lainnya, namun mampu menghasilkan daya sampai dengan 100 kW. Kincir air bekerja memanfaatkan kapasitas Q dan tinggi air jatuh H. Dalam tugas akhir ini dihasilkan berupa rancangan dimensi kincir air, desain sudu kincir air, dan daya yang mampu dihasilkan kincir air berdasarkan data-data yang diperoleh di DAM Sungai Jagir Surabaya. Dari hasil perhitungan dari segi dimensi didapatkan diameter luar (D₁) dan diameter dalam (D₂). Dari segi desain sudu didapatkan besar sudut antara kecepatan tangensial U₁ dan kecepatan mutlak C₁ (α₁). Sedangkan dari segi daya didapatkan daya kincir air (Ww) berdasarkan data-data yang ada dan berbagai literatur.

Water wheels represent one of the small-scale power generation systems that are widely known by Indonesian society. Water wheels are simpler than other types but are capable of producing power up to 100 kW. A water wheel operates by utilizing the flow capacity Q and the water head H. This final project resulted in the design of the water wheel dimensions, the design of the water wheel blades, and the power that can be produced by the water wheel based on data obtained from DAM Jagir, Surabaya. Based on the dimensional calculations, the outside diameter (D₁) and inside diameter (D₂) were obtained. From the blade design, the angle between the tangential velocity U₁ and the absolute velocity C₁ (α₁) was determined. Meanwhile, the water wheel power (Ww) was calculated based on the available data and various literature references.
