Abstract

PT. Semen Gresik (Persero) merupakan perusahaan industri persemenan yang mengandalkan belt conveyor sebagai peralatan utama dalam proses pemindahan material di seluruh lini produksi. Karena beroperasi secara terus-menerus, belt conveyor rentan mengalami kerusakan mekanis yang dapat mengganggu kelancaran proses produksi apabila tidak diantisipasi dengan baik. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, laporan ini disusun untuk menjawab tiga rumusan masalah, yaitu bagaimana hasil identifikasi kerusakan mekanis pada belt conveyor, komponen mana yang memiliki tingkat kerusakan tertinggi beserta mitigasinya, serta bagaimana peran risk register dalam menunjang operasional belt conveyor dan produksi semen. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis risiko kerusakan mekanis pada belt conveyor, serta menyusun risk register sebagai pedoman mitigasi risiko bagi divisi Machine Maintenance. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan teknisi dan Manager of Machine Maintenance, serta analisis data historis kerusakan dan perawatan belt conveyor selama periode Januari–April 2025. Data yang terkumpul kemudian diklasifikasikan dan dinilai menggunakan konsep risk matrix berdasarkan impact level dan probability level untuk memperoleh priority level setiap risiko. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerusakan dengan frekuensi tertinggi terjadi pada komponen roller akibat keausan, dengan total 20 kejadian selama periode pengamatan. Sementara itu, risiko dengan priority level tertinggi adalah kebocoran seal oil gearbox dengan nilai 12, karena berpotensi menyebabkan kerusakan lanjutan pada gearbox dan menghentikan operasional belt conveyor secara keseluruhan. Risk register yang disusun diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi divisi Machine Maintenance dalam melakukan mitigasi risiko secara terstruktur, sehingga dapat meningkatkan keandalan operasional dan mengurangi potensi kerugian akibat kerusakan mendadak pada belt conveyor.

PT. Semen Gresik (Persero) is a cement manufacturing company that relies on belt conveyors as key equipment for material handling throughout its production lines. Since belt conveyors operate continuously, they are prone to mechanical failures that can disrupt the smoothness of the production process if not properly anticipated. Based on this issue, this report addresses three research questions, namely how the mechanical damage on belt conveyors can be identified, which components have the highest failure rate along with their mitigation measures, and how a risk register can support belt conveyor operations and cement production. The objectives of this study are to identify and analyze the risks of mechanical damage to belt conveyors and to develop a risk register as a risk mitigation guideline for the Machine Maintenance division. The methods used include field observation, interviews with technicians and the Manager of Machine Maintenance, as well as analysis of historical maintenance and repair data for belt conveyors during the January–April 2025 period. The collected data were then classified and assessed using a risk matrix concept based on impact level and probability level to determine the priority level of each risk. The results show that the highest frequency of damage occurred in the roller component due to wear, with a total of 20 occurrences during the observation period. Meanwhile, the risk with the highest priority level was gearbox oil seal leakage, with a score of 12, as it has the potential to cause further damage to the gearbox and halt the entire belt conveyor operation. The developed risk register is expected to serve as a reference for the Machine Maintenance division in conducting structured risk mitigation, thereby improving operational reliability and reducing potential losses due to sudden belt conveyor failures.
