Abstract
Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Air (PLTA) Sutami merupakan salah satu pembangkit listrik tenaga air terbesar di Jawa Timur dengan kapasitas terpasang sebesar 3 × 35 MW. Keandalan operasional pembangkit sangat dipengaruhi oleh kinerja sistem pendukung, salah satunya adalah *drainage system* yang berfungsi menguras air rembesan dan kebocoran di area *powerhouse*. Sistem pengurasan yang tidak bekerja secara optimal dapat menyebabkan genangan air, meningkatkan risiko kerusakan peralatan, serta mengganggu kontinuitas operasi pembangkit. Laporan magang ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menentukan jenis pompa yang paling sesuai untuk sistem pengurasan air di lantai B3 PT PLN Nusantara Power – PLTA Sutami. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pengumpulan data lapangan, identifikasi karakteristik fluida, analisis kapasitas aliran, perhitungan head statis dan dinamis, perhitungan *Net Positive Suction Head Available* (NPSHA), serta evaluasi kurva karakteristik pompa dan efisiensi sistem. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sistem membutuhkan head efektif sebesar 19,07 m dengan nilai NPSHA sebesar 10,31 m sehingga memenuhi persyaratan operasi dan meminimalkan potensi kavitasi. Berdasarkan perhitungan kapasitas, putaran spesifik, efisiensi, dan titik operasi pompa, direkomendasikan penggunaan pompa sentrifugal EBARA Closed Coupled Series 3 tipe 65-160/11. Pompa ini memiliki kapasitas sebesar 126 m³/jam dan head sebesar 20 m sehingga mampu memenuhi kebutuhan sistem pengurasan air yang memerlukan kapasitas 120 m³/jam. Selain itu, pompa ini memiliki konfigurasi *single-stage* dan dapat diintegrasikan dengan *Variable Frequency Drive* (VFD) untuk meningkatkan efisiensi energi dan fleksibilitas operasi. Hasil analisis ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan dan optimalisasi sistem pengurasan air pada fasilitas pembangkit listrik tenaga air serta mendukung peningkatan keandalan operasional PLTA Sutami.

Sutami Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA Sutami) is one of the largest hydroelectric power plants in East Java, with an installed capacity of 3 × 35 MW. The operational reliability of the power plant is highly influenced by the performance of its supporting systems, one of which is the drainage system responsible for removing seepage and leakage water from the powerhouse area. An inadequately functioning drainage system may result in water accumulation, increase the risk of equipment damage, and disrupt the continuity of power generation operations. This internship report aims to analyze and determine the most suitable pump type for the water drainage system located on the B3 floor of PT PLN Nusantara Power – Sutami Hydroelectric Power Plant. The methodology employed includes field data collection, identification of fluid characteristics, flow capacity analysis, static and dynamic head calculations, *Net Positive Suction Head Available* (NPSHA) analysis, and evaluation of pump characteristic curves and overall system efficiency. The analysis results indicate that the system requires an effective head of 19.07 m and an NPSHA value of 10.31 m, satisfying operational requirements while minimizing the potential for cavitation. Based on calculations of flow capacity, specific speed, efficiency, and pump operating point, the recommended pump is the EBARA Closed Coupled Series 3 centrifugal pump, model 65-160/11. This pump provides a capacity of 126 m³/h and a head of 20 m, adequately meeting the drainage system requirement of 120 m³/h. Furthermore, the pump features a single-stage configuration and can be integrated with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to enhance energy efficiency and operational flexibility. The findings of this analysis are expected to serve as a reference for the development and optimization of water drainage systems in hydroelectric power generation facilities while contributing to improved operational reliability at PLTA Sutami.
