Abstract

Multi-homing merupakan perilaku penggunaan lebih dari satu platform digital yang menyediakan layanan serupa. Kasus ini semakin berkembang pada aplikasi sekuritas, di mana investor ritel memanfaatkan beberapa aplikasi untuk mendukung aktivitas perdagangan saham. Meskipun demikian, penelitian mengenai multi-homing pada aplikasi sekuritas masih terbatas sehingga pemahaman mengenai perilaku tersebut dari perspektif investor ritel belum banyak dieksplorasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami perilaku multi-homing, mengidentifikasi domain-domain yang membentuknya, serta mengembangkan model konseptual dan design rekomendasi bagi pengembangan aplikasi sekuritas. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terhadap investor ritel multi-homing aplikasi sekuritas. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Thematic Analysis dengan Technology Adoption, Quality, Trust, Perceived Risk, dan User Experience sebagai kerangka konseptual awal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku multi-homing merupakan strategi adaptif investor yang dibentuk oleh interaksi kelima domain tersebut dan dimaknai melalui dua pola utama, yaitu Pembagian Fungsi Aplikasi dan Diversifikasi Pengelolaan Investasi. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis melalui model multi-homing dengan memperluas pemahaman mengenai perilaku multi-homing pada aplikasi sekuritas serta kontribusi praktis melalui desain rekomendasi yang dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan aplikasi sekuritas.

Multi-homing refers to the behavior of using more than one digital platform that provides similar services. This phenomenon has become increasingly prevalent in securities applications, where retail investors utilize multiple applications to support their stock trading activities. However, research on multi-homing in the context of securities applications remains limited, and the behavior has not been widely explored from the perspective of retail investors. This study aims to understand multi-homing behavior, identify the domains that shape it, and develop a conceptual model and design recommendations for the development of securities applications. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with retail investors who use multiple securities applications. Data were analyzed using Thematic Analysis with Technology Adoption, Quality, Trust, Perceived Risk, and User Experience as the initial conceptual framework. The findings indicate that multi-homing is an adaptive strategy adopted by retail investors, shaped by the interaction among these five domains and represented through two main patterns: Application Function Allocation and Investment Management Diversification. This study contributes theoretically by proposing a conceptual model that extends the understanding of multi-homing behavior in securities applications. It also provides practical contributions through design recommendations that may serve as a conceptual reference for the development of securities applications.
