Abstract

Children aged 3–6 years with ADHD generally face difficulties in maintaining focus, which can affect their learning and play activities. At an early age, children's abilities are still developing and remain highly responsive to appropriate stimulation and intervention. One approach to training focus in children with ADHD is behavior modification, which emphasizes positive reinforcement and gradual behavior shaping. Treatment typically consists of two forms: primary therapy conducted with professionals and secondary therapy supported by games that can be implemented at home. However, educational games specifically designed to support child development based on behavior modification remain limited. This designed product is not a replacement for professional therapy, but rather a medium to support development and provide stimulation tailored to the child's needs at home due to limited therapy time. The design process utilized the Double Diamond approach, which encompasses four phases: discover, define, develop, and deliver. The final design is a rabbit-themed game that integrates visual, auditory, and tactile stimuli through multi-stage gameplay, such as sound-guessing, memory buttons, and searching for puzzle pieces using a magnetic fishing rod before assembling them into a complete shape. The game is equipped with primary and secondary positive reinforcement in the form of light feedback, audio cues, and reward pins to boost the child's motivation during play. User testing results with early childhood children with ADHD demonstrated that the children completed all game stages, responded positively to the reinforcement provided, and understood the game mechanisms effectively and appropriately.
