Abstract

In Indonesia, the production of fish is one of the economic resources of societv. Because many species of fish and different treatment, will reguire a classification process. Nowdays many people or fish industries use people to doing that process. In fact, the workers can not work with the stable, and therefore needed a system that could work as the classification process. The purpose of this final project is to realize the classification process. The svstem uses decision tree algorithm for determining the outcome prediction. Which will be used as input is the result of the segmentation and extraction process. Segmentation process itself using the Sobel image processing as the primary method and extraction process using co-occurance matrix. Co-occurance matrix aims to discern patterns in fish that is going to be a distinguishing attribute. From some experiments using the k - fold cross validation, it was found that the average accuracy of this tuna clasification application amounted to 88 Yo. From the experiments that have been done, this application has been able to transform and result in a system that has a high degree of accuracy. And of course, with this this application, it can reduce error rate which may be incurred by the worker in carrying out the process of classification of tuna, and increase the time of production.
