Abstract

PT KSA merupakan industri manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang flexible packaging dengan teknologi rotogravure. Dengan penerapan sistem make to order dalam memenuhi kebutuhan customer dan komitmen menghasilkan produk berkualitas dengan harga kompetitif serta pengiriman yang tepat waktu. Hal tersebut menuntut perusahaan agar mampu mengelola sistem produksinya secara lebih efektif dan efisien melalui identifikasi aktivitas value added, mereduksi waste dan memperpendek lead time dalam meningkatkan produktivitas serta proses perbaikan yang berkesinambungan Implementasi lean manufacturing membantu perusahaan menjadi lebih kompetitif, terutama dalam hal mengurangi waste yang terjadi pada proses produksi fine flexible packaging.
Dalam identifikasi terhadap waste menggunakan waste assessment model (WAM) yang terdiri dari waste relationship matrix (WRM) dan waste assessment questionnaire (WAQ). Model ini mampu memberikan kontribusi untuk pencapaian hasil yang akurat dalam identifikasi tentang akar penyebab dari waste. Berdasarkan hasil WAQ didapat hasil waste prioritas dengan ranking tiga besar yaitu: motion sebesar 27,26%, defect sebesar 18,63% dan inventory sebesar 13,52%. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisa terkait akar penyebab dari waste yang diprioritaskan dengan menggunakan diagram fishbone. Rekomendasi perbaikan dengan menggunakan U-shape cell layout dan 5S dalam mengeliminasi waste motion , metode poka yoke dalam mengeliminasi waste defect serta metode economic order quantity (EOQ) dalam mengeliminasi waste inventory.

PT KSA is manufacturing industry engaged in the field of flexible packaging with rotogravure technology. Using make-to-order system to meet customer needs and committed to produce quality products with competitive prices and on time delivery. It requires the company to be able to manage its production system more effectively and efficiently through the identification of value added activities, waste reduction and shortened lead time in improving productivity and continuous improvement process. Implementation of lean manufacturing helps companies become more competitive, especially in terms of reducing waste that occurs in the production process.
In the identification of waste assessment (WAM) consisting of waste relationship matrix (WRM) and waste assessment questionnaire (WAQ). This model is able to contribute to the achievement of accurate results in the identification of the root cause of waste. Based on the WAQ results obtained by the results of the waste priority ranking of the top three are: motion of 27.26%, defect of 18.63% and inventory of 13.52%. Furthermore, the root cause analysis of the priority waste using fishbone diagram. Recommendation of improvement by using U-shape cell layout and 5S in eliminating waste motion, poka yoke method in eliminating waste defect and economic order quantity (EOQ) method in eliminating waste inventory.
