Abstract
Konsumsi listrik di Indonesia setiap tahunnya terus meningkat. Untuk mengatasi pemenuhan kebutuhan listrik ini diperlukan sebuah sumber energi baru yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan listrik nasional yang semakin besar. Angin sebagai sumber energi yang tersedia di alam dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu sumber energi listrik.
Objek eksperimen ini adalah turbin angin sumbu horizontal 3 blade airfoil clark-y model taper linear dengan angle of attack 20º, 40º, dan 60º. Diuji unjuk kerjanya yang meliputi daya dan efisiensi menggunakan variasi pembebanan 0 gram – 3600 gram dengan variasi kecepatan angin adalah 3,2 m/s, 4 m/s dan 7,2 m/s.
Hasil pengujian dengan menggunakan jumlah blade 3 dan variasi angle of attack 20º, 40º, dan 60º akan didapatkan daya dan efisiensi maksimum sebesar P = 1.060 Watt dan η = 11.159 % pada v = 3.2 m/s dengan α = 60º.

Annually electricity consumption in Indonesia continues to increase. To solve this problem, it will be required a new energy source that is able to fulfill electricity needs which are getting bigger. Wind as a source of energy which are available in nature can be utilized as one of electrical energy source.
The object of this experiment is 3 blade airfoil clark-y taper linear model horizontal axis wind turbine with angle of attack 20º, 40º, and 60º. The performance be tested which are consist of torque, power, and efficiency using mass loading variation 0 grams - 3600 grams with variations in wind speed is 3.2 m/s, 5.5 m/s and 7.2 m/s.
The test results using a number of 3 blade with variation angle of attack 20º, 40º, and 60º will be obtained maximum power and efficiency in amount of P = 1.060 Watt and η = 11.159 % in v = 3.2 m/s with α = 60º.
