Abstract
Indonesia merupakan negara terbesar ketiga yang memproduksi biji kopi di dunia karena letak Indonesia sangat ideal bagi iklim pertumbuhan dan produksi kopi. Salah satu proses pengolahan biji kopi yang paling penting adalah proses pengeringan karena menentukan kualitas biji kopi tersebut. Pada penelitian ini, difokuskan pada usaha memaksimalkan proses pengeringan melalui mekanisme sistem penjejak matahari. Secara
umum, sistem penjejak matahari digunakan untuk mendapatkan cahaya matahari yang selalu maksimal melalui pengendalian posisi nampan agar selalu mengikuti pergerakan posisi matahari. Sistem yang dibangun terdiri dari sistem mekanik dan sistem elektrik. Metode kontrol yang digunakan pada sistem ini adalah proporsional kontrol dimana parameter kontrol terbaik dicapai untuk Kp sebesar 0.3. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan didapatkan nilai settling time dengan waktu 6 detik, nilai rise time 0,5 detik, nilai overshoot 2,844 volt dan nilai undershoot 0,591volt. ===================================================================================== Indonesia is the third largest country that produces coffee beans in the world, because Indonesia has ideal location for climate growth and coffee production. One of the most important processing of coffee beans is the drying process because that process is determine the quality of the coffee beans itself. This research focused on maximizing the drying process through the sun tracking system. In general, the sun tracking system is used to obtain maximum sunlight through tray position control in order to always follow the movement of the sun position. The built system consist of mechanical and electric system. The method of
control that been used in this system is proportional control based where the best control parameters are achieved for Kp are consist of 0.3 and 0. The test result show obtained settling time value with for 0.5 seconds, riste time value 6 seconds, overshoot value 2,844volt, undershoot 0,591volt.
