Abstract

============== Research on electric vehicles to improve performance and reliability in electric motors, power electronics components, batteries and controllers is growing rapidly. The design of an optimal electric motor with high efficiency is the most important thing for the implementation of electric motors in electric vehicles. This Final Project purposes to design and simulate axial flux permanent magnet of BLDC motor to obtained motor design with 5 kW output power and analysis on electrical parameters such as torque, speed, efficiency, flux density, and losses motor design is done by obtaining motor physical parameters through calculation such as number of pole, stator core diameter, and selection of material type. The physical parameters obtained are simulated through Ansys Maxwell software using Rmxprt feature and blueprint design through Solidworks software. The results obtained from the design of axial flux permanent magnet motor BLDC 5 kW by using 12 slot stator and 8 pole rotor is obtained torque of 10,95 Nm with a speed rating of 5000 rpm and motor efficiency of 94,49%.
