Abstract

Penelitian ini mempelajari tentang fenomena penurunan tanah di Kota Surabaya. Kota Surabaya merupakan kota yang mengalami pertumbuhan pesat yang dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya jumlah bangunan (terutama perumahan dan gedung-gedung tinggi) yang telah terealisasi sebelum 2015, kondisi ini diikuti dengan meningkatkan kebutuhan air di kota ini. Penurunan tanah atau deformasi vertikal adalah perubahan permukaan tanah akibat efek dari longsor, gempa bumi, proses konsolidasi tanah, atau bahkan akibat aktifitas buatan manusia. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan analisa penurunan muka tanah di Kota Surabaya dengan menggunakan teknik Time-series Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar dengan metode Small Baseline Subset. Secara khusus, teknik ini diaplikasikan untuk mendapatkan nilai kcepatan penurunan tanah berupa mean line of sight velocity dan displacement time-series di Kota Surabaya antara bulan Mei 2015 dan September 2017. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 28 data Sentinel-1A IW mode yang diperoleh menggunakan operasi TOPS dengan resolusi spasial 5 x 20 m dan mencakup area seluas 250 km2. Dari hasil pengolahan data didapatkan nilai kecepatan deformasi vertikal antara bulan Mei 2015 dan September 2017 sebesar -40 mm/th sampai +30 mm/th. Penurunan tanah sebagian besar terjadi di bagian Utara (Asemrowo dan Morokrembangan) dan Timur (Kenjeran, Sukolilo, dan Gunung Anyar Tambak), sedangkan di bagian Barat sebagian besar mengalami kenaikan muka tanah. Dari hasil analisis menggunakan data penggunaan air tanah dan peta geologi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengambilan air tanah, perubahan fungsi lahan menjadi area permukiman, dan kondisi geologi Kota Surabaya yang didominasi oleh daratan aluvial merupakan penyebab pergerakan tanah di Kota Surabaya. Selain itu, adanya sesar Kendeng yang melewati Kota Surabaya juga dapat menjadi penyebab terjadinya deformasi vertikal berupa kenaikan muka tanah di area Surabaya Barat.

This research studied the land subsidence phenomenon in Surabaya City. Surabaya is a large city with a rapidly urban area growth that indicated by the increasing number of building (especially for settlements and high rise buildings) that have been realized before 2015. This condition is also followed by the increasing need of water. Deformation is the land surface changed that can be occurred due to the effect of landslide, earthquake, soil consolidation process, or even manmade activities, depending on the material characteristics of the area. In this study, Time-series Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar, especially Small Baseline Subset method is applied to generate the mean line of sight velocity and displacement time-series in Surabaya City between May 2015 and September 2017. 28 Sentinel-1A IW mode data, that were acquired by using TOPS operation with the 5 x 20 m of spatial resolution and cover 250 km2 of area were used in the SBAS processing. Through the SBAS method, interferogram pairs selection is based on the perpendicular baseline is lower than 150 m and temporal baseline is lower than 100 days. The result showed that the velocity value of deformation between May 2015 and September 2017 is between -40 mm/yr and +30 mm/yr. The subsidence were mostly occurred in North (Asemrowo and Morokrembangan) and East (Kenjeran, Sukolilo, and Gunung Anyar Tambak) part of Surabaya, whereas the West part is mostly uplift. From analysis using groundwater useage and geology data, it can be concluded that excessive groundwater extraction and the geological condition of Surabaya that dominated by alluvium plain were the major cause of the subsidence. Moreover, the existence of Kendeng fault in Surabaya also cause the uplift that occurred in the West part of the city.
