Abstract

Di Indonesia senyawa Sodium Tripolyphosphate memiliki prospek yang baik untuk dikembangkan. Banyaknya permintaan dari dalam negeri belum diimbangi dengan ketersediaan Sodium Tripolyphosphate sehingga Indonesia masih mengimpornya dari berbagai Negara. Hanya ada satu pabrik Sodium Tripolyphosphate di Indonesia yaitu PT. Petrocentral Gresik. Semakin besarnya kebutuhan Sodium Tripolyphosphate wilayah Indonesia memberikan peluang untuk didirikan sebuah pabrik Sodium Tripolyphosphate. Sehingga rancang pabrik ini memiliki kapasitas sebesar 42.000 ton/tahun guna membantu untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat Indonesia.
Dalam mendirikan suatu pabrik, perlu dilakukan seleksi dari beberapa proses yang ada. Pembuatan Sodium Tripolyphosphate pada perancangan pabrik ini menggunakan proses yang telah di pilih yaitu Proses Kombinasi dari Proses Dua Tahap dan Proses Hoechst-Knapsack. Pertimbangannya karena proses yang di pilih ini merupakan proses yang memudahkan dalam proses netralisasinya, karena ada 2 tahap pre netralisasi dan netralisasi. Ini menguntungkan karena reaksinya lebih sempurna. Hasil akhirnya adalah terbentuknya Sodium Typolyphosphate juga terbentuknya Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate dari Disodium Phosphate yang tidak bereaksi dengan Sodium Typolyphosphate.
Hasil dari perancangan Pabrik STPP ini adalah bertempatkan di Kawasan Industri Tuban. Rancang pabrik ini beroperasi secara kontinyu selama 330 hari/tahun dan 24 jam/hari. Bahan baku Asam Fosfat diambil dar PT. Petrocentral Gresik dan Natrium Karbonat diambil dari PT. Kaltim Sahid Baritosoda Kimia.

In Indonesia Sodium Tripolyphosphate compounds have good prospects
to be developed, both in terms of potential raw materials and markets. The main
goal is to meet the domestic needs that tend to increase every year. The number
of domestic demand has not been matched by the availability of Sodium
Tripolyphosphate so that Indonesia still imports it from various countries. There
is only one Sodium Tripolyphosphate factory in Indonesia that is PT. Petrocentral
Gresik with installed production capacity of 50,000 tons / year. The greater the
need for Sodium Tripolyphosphate in Indonesia provides an opportunity for the
establishment of a Sodium Tripolyphosphate plant. So the design of this factory
has a capacity of 42,000 tons / year to help to meet the needs of the people of
Indonesia.
In establishing a factory, it is necessary to select from several existing
processes. Making Sodium Tripolyphosphate on the design of this plant using a
process that has been selected is the Combination Process of Two-Stage Process
and Hoechst-Knapsack Process. Consideration because the process is selected is
a process that facilitates the process of neutralization. Because of its
neutralization there are 2 pre neutralization and neutralization stages. This is
beneficial because the reaction is more perfect. The end result is the formation of
Sodium Typolyphosphate also the formation of Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate from
Disodium Phosphate which does not react with Sodium Typolyphosphate.
The result of the design of this STPP Plant is located in Ds Industrial
Estate. Socorejo, Kec. Jenu, Kab. Tuban, East Java. The design of this plant
operates continuously for 330 days / year and 24 hours / day. The raw material
of Phosphoric Acid is taken from PT. Petrocentral Gresik and Sodium Carbonate
are taken from PT. Kaltim Sahid Baritosoda Kimia. And the supporting material
of this plant is water.
