Abstract

Permasalahan dasar dalam pengoperasian motor diesel yakni semakin berkurangnya ketersediaan bahan bakar minyak bumi (konvensional). Biodiesel sebagai bahan bakar alternatif yang bersifat terbarukan (Renewable) telah mampu memberi jawaban dari permasalahan tersebut. Biodiesel bisa dihasilkan dari minyak nabati, seperti contohnya biodiesel biji nyamplung (Calophyllum inophyllum L.). Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen yang dilakukan terhadap mesin diesel Yanmar satu silinder. Pada penelitian ini Karakteristik dari biodiesel biji nayamplung sebagian besar sesuai dengan standar nasional Indonesis (SNI). Proses peforma motor diesel menggunakan bahan bakar HSD, Biosolar, B15 (Nyamplung) dan B20 (Nyamplung). Dari proses penelitian dari uji properties dan peforma ternyata saling berkaitan satu sama lain, dimana biosolar memiliki SFOC terendah dibandingkan dengan 3 bahan bakar lainya. Tapi untuk B20 dan B15 sendiri memiliki SFOC lebih rendah dibandingkan HSD. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa ada perubahan setelah pencampuran B100 (Nyamplung) dengan Solar murni (HSD) untuk dijadikan B15 dan B20. Untuk analisa kelayakan ekonomis dari minyak biji Nyamplung (Calophyllum inophyllum L.) dengan menggunakan metode Break Even Point. Dalam kajian ekonomis, dilakukan perhitungan Net Present Value (NPV) yang menghasilkan nilai positif sebesar Rp 34.677.605.706, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) untuk perencanaan produksi memperoleh nilai sebesar 14,65 % atau 4,15 % lebih tinggi dari yang diasumsikan, dan Break Even Point (BEP) dari biodiesel Biji Nyamplung memiliki nilasi sebesar 63 % dengan waktu pengembalian modal 6,7 tahun.============================================================================The basic problem in the operation of diesel engines is the decreasing availability of petroleum (conventional) fuel. Biodiesel as an alternative fuel that provides renewable has been able to answer the problems. Biodiesel can be produced from vegetable oils, such as the biodiesel of nyamplung seed (Calophyllum inophyllum L.). In this research is done by experimental method conducted on Yanmar one cylinder diesel engine. In this research, the characteristics of nayamplung seed biodiesel are among others by Indonesian national standard (SNI). Performance process of diesel motor using HSD, Biosolar, B15 (Nyamplung) and B20 (Nyamplung) fuels. From the research process of the properties and performance tests Apparently know each other, where biosolar has the lowest SFOC compared with 3 other fuels. But for B20 and B15 itself has a lower SFOC than HSD. This shows that mixing B100 (Nyamplung) with pure Solar (HSD) to be B15 and B20. For feasibility analysis of Nyamplung seed oil (Calophyllum inophyllum L.) using Break Even Point method. In the economic study, Net Present Value (NPV) calculation resulted in positive values of Rp 34,677,605,706, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) for production planning obtained by 14.65% or 4.15% higher than that assumed, and Break Even Point (BEP) from Nyamplung seed biodiesel has a 63% nickel with a payback period of 6.7 years.
