Abstract
=============================================================================== One of the measuring tools to know the performance of a system is the residual lifetime. The estimated residual life of a system can be determined by calculating the Mean Residual Life (MRL) function. The residual life is used as a consideration for maintenance so as to improve the efficiency of the production process because machines, which connected in parallel, are essential to support the production process. Failure of all parallel connected components causes system failure. The purposes of this research are to determine the reliability function of the system and to estimate the lifetime and the residual life of the water pump on the parallel network model by estimating the distribution parameters first. The simulation is performed on two types of parallel systems, the parallel system of the raw water pump which is distributed Weibull and the distribution pump standby-redundancy system, which is distributed Eksponensial. Simulation is done by using parameter estimation value obtained by MLE and Bayes method, λ=0,01469, β=2,3418 and θ=70,6732 . The results obtained from the simulation of this research is a parallel system of raw water pump has a reliability of 85,86% with an estimated lifetime of 87 days and the residual of 31 days while standby-redundancy system of the distribution pump has a reliability of 54,19% with an estimated lifetime of 85 days and the residual life of 55 days.
