Abstract

The process of distribution of objects in the industry affects the process of buying and selling to the community. Therefore, a tool is needed to assist the distribution process. So that the distribution process will save time, ease the human work, and can minimize the human error that often occurs in the manual industry. The workers also only need to monitor the distribution process through the LCD display without having to check it at any time. Conveyors are used to distribute objects from one place to another. The MCR12 barcode scanner is placed at the top of the conveyor, so that the item labeled ITF-6 barcode when it passes through the conveyor will be detected. Then, the barcode scanner will send the data and process it in Arduino Mega 2560 R3 program. The arduino will activate the relay according to the program and the relay will activate the motor on the conveyor, and the conveyor will work according to the detected barcode. This MCR12 barcode scanner can detect barcodes well within 20cm. The exact position of barcode scanners detecting barcodes is 90˚ and 270˚ in horizontal rotation. The success of barcode scanners in accurately detecting barcodes is 64%. And, the average time of the process of grouping barcodes A, B, and C is 18 seconds, 32 seconds, and 16.7 seconds. This sensor can not be too long to work, so it often has to give pause to keep the barcode detected. For conveyors, when grouping of goods is often too fast or too slow to walk.
