Abstract

Model regresi nonparametrik Spline meng- hasilkan koefisien determinasi sebesar 97,713%.

The dangers of drugs (including narcotics) in East Java are increasing. The consumers are not only people who often goes to the nightclub, but also the officials and even children. The prevention and eradication of drugs has often been done, but there is only small possibilities to make the adults and teens away from drugs. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the number of drugs addict in East Java. Non-parametric spline regression approach used in modeling the number of drugs addict in East Java. This approach can estimate a non-specific pattern data. Best spline regression model was selected using a 3 knots because it produces the most minimum GCV value. Factors that significantly influence the the number of drugs addict in East Java are the percentage of population aged 10 years who do not / have not been to school, the percentage of street children, the percentage of troubled families, unemploy-ment rate and GDP per capita. The nonparametric spline regression model in this study have coefficient of determination of 97.713%.
