Abstract

Sungai yang digunakan sebagai air baku pengolahan PDAM X mendapatkan banyak pencemaran dari lingkungan sekitarnya, baik itu dari limbah domestik maupun limbah industri. Hasil penelitian dari Badan Lingkungan Hidup menyatakan bahwa air baku dari PDAM X tidak layak digunakan sebagai air baku. Hal ini dapat mengakibatkan kemungkinan adanya penurunan kualitas air produksi apabila tidak diolah dengan baik. Di sisi lain, terdapat baku mutu kualitas air minum yang harus dipenuhi PDAM agar air produksi yang dihasilkan layak untuk dikonsumsi masyarakat. IPAM X ditentukan sebagai ruang lingkup penelitian ini karena pengolahannya yang bersifat konvensional, dibandingkan dengan IPAM lainnya di kota terkait yang telah dilengkapi dengan unit hybrid yang lebih modern. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan penelitian laboratorium dan penelitian lapangan untuk menganalisis resiko kegagalan dari IPAM X. Penelitian laboratorium dilakukan untuk melakukan pengujian terhadap parameter sisa klor, kekeruhan, pH dan TDS.Sampel yang dianalisis merupakan sampel air produksi dari efluen IPAM X. Hasil dari analisis sampel dipetakan ke dalam diagram fishbone untuk mengetahui faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap parameter yang diuji. Masalah yang telah dipetakan pada diagram fishbonedianalisis lebih lanjutdengan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysist (FMEA) untuk mengetahui kegagalan apa saja yang berpengaruh pada turunnya kualitas air produksi IPAM X. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan unit yang mengalami kegagalan potensial berupa kanal, koagulasi, flokulasi, dan sedimentasi Kegagalan terbesar dengan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) tertinggi sebesar 75 dimiliki oleh faktor gradient kecepatan pada bak koagulasi dan weir loading pada bak sedimentasi. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah usulan perbaikan terhadap pengolahan di instalasi pengolahan.Diharapkan hasil usulan perbaikan dapat dijadikan saran untuk sistem pengolahan air minum X sehingga dapat meningkatkan mutu pelayanan.

River as the raw water of PDAM X got so many pollution from its surroundings, whether it came from domestic or industrial waste water. The result of Environmental Agency’s research showed that the water of the river is not feasible to use as raw water. This can cause the possibility of the reduction of PDAM X drinking water quality, if the raw water is not treated well. On the other hand, there is a drinking water quality standard must be obeyed by PDAM in order to produce drinking water which proper to consume by community. X Water Treatment Plant was chose to be the scope of this research because of its conventional treatment, compared to any other water treatment plants which have already equipped by modern hybrid units. Laboratory and field research were done in this research to analyze the risk of failure from X Water Treatment Plant. Laboratory research was done to examine residual chlorine, turbidity, pH and total dissolved solid parameters. The samples which analyzed were produced water from X water treatment plant effluent. The results of analysis were mapped into fishbone diagram to know the factors that effected parameters tested. The problem mapped into fishbone diagram were analyzed further with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to find out what failures effected the decrease of X drinking water quality.
The result of this research showedunits that has potential failures are channel, coagulation chamber, baffled channel, and clarifier.The highest results of risk priority (RPN) with score 75 are in velocity gradient in coagulation chamber and weir loading, both are in clarifier. The result of this research is repairment recommendations for the water treatment. These recommendations are expected to be the suggestion for X water treatment plant in order to increase its quality services.
