Abstract
Listrik merupakan salah satu energi yang telah menjadi kebutuhan pokok dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Disisi lain peningkatan konsumsi listrik pada level tegangan rendah mampu menimbulkan berbagai masalah. Salah satunya yaitu konsleting (arcing) pada saat terjadi hubung singkat atau biasa disebut konsleting listrik, yang akan memicu timbulnya bencana kebakaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan sebuah perancangan peralatan identifikasi arcing tegangan rendah yang berbasis transformasi wavelet. Keberhasilan dalam mendeteksi arcing dapat dijadikan upaya dan pencegahan terjadi bencana kebakaran. Algoritma yang
digunakan menggunakan transformasi wavelet sebagai teknik pemrosesan sinyalnya. Penelitian ini di harapkan dapat memudahkan untuk mendeteksi tejadinya kegagalan
arcing pada level tegangan rendah yang merupakan penyebab
terjadinya kebakaran ========== Electricity was one of the energy that has already become a staple in everyday life. On the other hand, the increased consumption of electricity at low voltage could lead to several problems. One of them was an arcing during short circuit which would lead to fire. This research used a design of low voltage arcing
identification equipment wavelet transform based. The success in detecting arcing could be an effort to prevent the fire. Algorithm which used was wavelet
transform as signal processing technique. This research was expected to make the detection easier of an arcing failure at low voltage level which became the cause of fire.
