Abstract
Indonesia memiliki luas lautan yang lebih besar daripada
luas daratan. Untuk itu diperlukan infrastruktur yang menunjang
mobilitas antar pulau, salah satunya dengan membangun
jembatan dan tol diatas laut. Namun, beton Portland sebagai
bahan struktur utama fasilitas tersebut memiliki kelemahan yaitu
rentan terhadap serangan korosi air laut. Untuk itu perlu
dikembangkan bahan struktur lain yang memiliki ketahanan lebih
tinggi seperti beton geopolimer.
Selain memiliki ketahanan yang tinggi, beton geopolimer
juga ramah lingkungan. Beton geopolimer tidak menggunakan
semen Portland yang dikenal sebagai salah satu pengahasil gas
CO2terbesar. Pada penelitian ini beton geopolimer disusun dari
campuran abu terbang tipe C dari PT.Paiton, alkali aktifator
berupa sodium hidroksida 14M dan sodium silikat, serta agregat
kasar dan halus.Benda uji berupa silinder dan balok akan melalui
proses pemanasan dan tanpa pemanasan kemudian dirawat pada
suhu ruang dan air laut sampai umur 28 hari. Kemudian untuk
mengetahui sifat mekanik, maka dilakuakan pengujian kuat tekan,
kuat belah, porositas, UPV, dan hammer test. Selain itu, untuk
benda uji balok dilakukan pengujian kuat lentur.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perawatan
dengan oven 600C selama 24 jam pada beton geopolimer
cenderung menaikkan sifat mekanik dan kuat lentur.

Indonesia's ocean area is larger than the land area. So, it
is necessary to have an infrastructure that supports mobility
between the islands, one of them is by build bridges and tolls
above the sea. However, Portland concrete as the main structural
material has a disadvantage that is vulnerable to sea water
corrosion attack. For this condition, it is necessary to develop
other structural material that has a higher resistance such as
geopolymer concrete.
In addition to having high durability, geopolymer
concrete is also environmentally friendly. Geopolymer concrete is
not using Portland cement that is known as one of the largest
producer of CO2. In this study, the geopolymer concrete
composed from a mixture of type C fly ash from PT.Paiton, an
alkaline activator such as 14M sodium hydroxide and sodium
silicate, as well as coarse and fine aggregate.The test specimen in
the form of cylinders and beams going through a process of
heating and without heating and then treated at room temperature
and sea water up to the age of 28 days. Then to determine the
mechanical properties, the researcher did a compressive strength
testing, strong sides, porosity, UPV, and hammer test. Moreover,
to the beam test object, the researcher did a flexural strength
testing.
The result of this study indicates that a treatment with
600C oven for 24 hours at geopolymer concrete tends to increase
the mechanical properties and flexural strength.
