Abstract

Indonesia memiliki 134 IPLT, namun hanya lima IPLT yang
berjalan secara optimal. Kajian implementasi ini bertujuan untuk
menentukan kriteria desain IPLT, mengetahui permasalahan
teknis dan pemenuhan kriteria desain pada unit IPLT serta
menentukan bangunan pengolahan yang sesuai.
Kajian kriteria desain dilakukan dengan membandingkan
kriteria desain dari literatur, penelitian terdahulu, dan data
perencanaan/DED IPLT. Pada 134 IPLT dilakukan analisa
kuantitas terkait unit pengolahan terpakai, kapasitas bangunan,
dan kondisi eksisting bangunan. Diambil 11 sampel IPLT untuk
dikaji unit pengolahannya yang paling sesuai untuk diterapkan di
Indonesia dan pemenuhan kriteria desain terhadap data teknis
IPLT.
Hasil kajian berdasarkan aspek teknis seperti rasio panjang
dan lebar, tinggi air, dan laju beban organik tidak terpenuhi,
namun permasalahan utama dalam implementasi pengolahan
IPLT saat ini ialah lumpur tinja yang masuk ke dalam IPLT lebih
sedikit dari kapasitas desain yang menyebabkan waktu detensi
terlalu lama dan efisiensi pengolahan menurun. Unit pengolahan
pada proses stabilisasi dipilih berdasarkan jumlah penduduk
terlayani di suatu Kota. ========== Indonesia has 134 faecal sludge treatment plants but only
five plants which run optimally. The implementation study aims to
determine the faecal sludge treatment plant design criteria,
knowing the technical problems and fulfillment of design criteria in
faecal sludge treatment unit, also determine the appropriate
treatment plant.
Study of design criteria was done by comparing the design
criteria from the literatures, former research, and data planning or
DED of faecal sludge treatment. At 134 treatment plants was
done the analysis of quantity related to unit process which has
been used, capacity and the existing condition of the treatment
plants. As the samples we choose eleven treatment plants to be
studied the unit processes which most appropriate to be applied
in Indonesia and the fulfillment of the design criteria compare to
technical data of faecal sludge treatment plant.
Result of the study which based on technical aspect such
as the length and width ratio, high of the water, and the organic
loading rate is not met with design criteria, but the major problem
in the treatment plant implementation was the quantity of septage
which enter the plant is lower than the capacity design of
treatment plants then causing prolongs the detention time and
decreases the removal efficiency. The unit of stabilization process
was chosen based on the number of people which served in the
city.
