Abstract

Material ZIF-8 (Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks-8) berhasil disintesis dalam beberapa variasi pelarut. Pelarut yang digunakan dalam sintesis, yaitu DMF, metanol dan aquades. Hasil yang diperoleh dikarakterisasi dengan instrument XRD, FTIR dan SEM-EDX. Hasil XRD menunjukkan bahwa ZIF-8 telah terbentuk yang mempunyai puncak yang sama dengan penelitian Nguyen dkk., (2012) yaitu pada 2θ = 7,2°; 10,3°; 12,6°; 16,5°; 18,0°. Spektra FTIR ZIF-8 dalam beberapa pelarut terbentuk gugus fungsi pada bilangan gelombang 420 cm-1, hal tersebut menunjukkan adanya ikatan Zn2+ dengan ligan 2-methylimidazole. Hasil mikrograf SEM menunjukkan morfologi ZIF-8 dari variasi pelarut menghasilkan bentuk geometri kubus. Pada hasil karakterisasi EDX menunjukkan adanya unsur seng (Zn), nitrogen (N), karbon (C) dan oksigen (O) dalam variasi pelarut yang memiliki jumlah unsur senyawa O tertinggi adalah 9,86% yaitu ZIF-8 dalam pelarut DMF. ==============================================================================================================================
The ZIF-8 (Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks-8) material was successfully synthesized in a variety of solvents. The solvents used in the synthesis, namely DMF, methanol and distilled water. The results obtained were characterized by XRD, FTIR and SEM-EDX instruments. The XRD results show that ZIF-8 has been formed which has the same peak as Nguyen dkk., (2012), namely at 2θ = 7.2°; 10.3°; 12,6°; 16.5°; 18.0°. FTIR ZIF-8 spectra in several solvents a functional group is formed at wave number 420 cm-1, this shows the presence of Zn2+ bonds with 2-methylimidazole ligands. The results of SEM micrographs showed the morphology of ZIF-8 from a variety of solvents resulting in the geometry of the cube. In the EDX characterization results showed the presence of zinc (Zn), nitrogen (N), carbon (C) and oxygen (O) in the variation of the solvent which had the highest number of compound O elements was 9.86% namely ZIF-8 in DMF solvents.
